It seems to be firing kind of slowly don't you think? I have a feeling this is because the wielder is a Warlock. I think in the hands of a Titan it would fire at a higher rate like in the Wolf Pack trailer.

Or maybe it's just for balancing and diversity reasons.

1 ReplyIt seems more like an hmm than an lmg

Is that a Titan symbol I see at the top of the Thunderlord's upgrade screen? Hmmm... Coincidence?...

1 Replysome of the upgrades for the weapons will likely increase fire rate, but the thunderlord seems like a powerful weapon but form the gameplay you cant really tell cause he is focusing on the devil walker
-
I wouldn't imagine so, they don't want you to regret your class choice. Maybe faster firing rate is something you can upgrade about your Guardian? (though that doesn't really make sense). Probably just a slow firint gun tbh, makes sense considering how good the upgrade tree looks.
-
I think that rate of fire will vary from weapon to weapon, what you described seems like one of those things that might make people think "Oh, I wish that I chose the Titan class".
-
26 RepliesIt's an LMG. -__- What game you played that an LMG is a fast firing gun? IT HAS NOTHING TO WITH ANYTHING. ALL LMGS ARE SLOW COMPARED TO ASSAULT RIFLES.
-
Not by default I don't think. And not because of the race you choose, the changes wouldn't be that drastic. Maybe as a perk or gun specialization, or maybe as a special POWER could the Titan shoot faster with more dexterity.
-
1 ReplyThunderbolt?
-
Well, it also has a small clip size of 36. I'm confident each gun will have trade offs and the trade offs for this gun are probably high damage per shot in exchange for low clip size and low fire rate. Makes sense.

3 Replieshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_machine_gun Check the rates on some of those. Even at a slow 550 RPM, it is dropping about 9 rounds a second. I did a rough count of the Thunderlords RPM and it is sitting around 250 - 300 RPM. It is closer to the AA-12 ROF which is 300 RPM. Also, with a 36 round drum at the start, if the fire rate was faster you would spend more time reloading than shooting. In a nutshell it is a game set in the future with space travel and space magic, what does it matter?
-
Well in real life most light machine guns fire at that rate.
-
It shoots lightning and is blue. I don't give a damn how bad the fire rate is.
-
Low fire rate, high damage. Traditional video game trade off.
-
You can increase the fire rate, it is an option in the skill tree of the weapon
-
Hm. Yeah. It is a bit slow. It should fire all 36 rounds in a pull of the trigger.
-
4 RepliesI noticed it was big and blue and covered with lightning.
-
5 RepliesIt's actually an HMG (heavy machine gun) They tend to have lower fire rates than LMGs because they shoot much higher calibre rounds. LMGs are your basic machine gun, while HMGs are usually mounted to vehicles because of their ridiculous recoil lol.
-
7 RepliesBecause its shooting 50 .cal?
-
For balance.

6 RepliesEdited by The Morskovian: 6/18/2013 7:57:15 PMAt first I thought it was a little slow but then I saw that it dealt with enemies rather quickly. EDIT: Also the mag was only about 36 rounds, so if it fired any faster it would run out annoyingly quick.
-
It probably shoots slow because it's a heavy weapon and seems pretty powerful.
-
Yeah I noticed that it was slow when I saw the gameplay I was wondering if you were to upgrade it to be a fast rate. That thunder lots fires so slow
-
1 ReplyIf you look at the skill tree one of the dots is for improved firing rate (and ammo capacity), there may be other items that affect the rate as well, but we'll have to wait to find out.
-
1 ReplyPerhaps as you level the gun up, fire rate may be one of the upgrades.
