We could've had iron banner this week. Instead we got crickets
Seriously. Where the hell is iron banner? There's nothing to do in this game. Just another boring week of the same lame -blam!- portal activities, with no onslaught featured btw. Are you planning on letting this game wither and die, just like you did D1 when D2 launched? I haven't played any iron banner in almost TWO SEASONS! Come on Bungie. Throw me a bone here. I'm bored AF

I finally got around to trying Doom.

We have crickets because they likely pulled all resources over for that miraculous resurrection of Marathon leaving this game with a 3 month delay at the old train yard... Live service is a myth no one wants to admit doesn't really exist. They know it will work in the shallow environment of Marathon though where you just drop a couple maps and few weapons and a battle pass and call it a day. Honestly much like Renegades LOL

1 ReplySilver lining: crickets are great- as long as they’re chocolate covered. Seriously though, no IB? Just flip the switch, no need for new weapons or armor necessary. Just give PvP an inkling of acknowledgment. Sigh…

2 RepliesI think there were lots of complaints regarding armour/ornaments during the last Iron Banner in September last year. There was an armour set that had previously appeared in concept art with an Iron Banner logo that was moved to Eververse instead of being an IB reward. Bungie’s probably still sore about that. Plus it would probably be too close to the Marathon open beta/server slam. Can’t have anything interfering with that. 🙄

6 RepliesI mean this respectfully, but what would happen if IB happened, players returned and all focused on the current state of pvp? IB would only show off the dumpster fire that is Bungie's anti-cheat and aging servers. That's not the image they want while trying to sell a pvp based game. I agree that D2 players deserve better. However Bungie has no interest in being better.

I find the sound of crickets soothing. Not as much as a thunderstorm or nighttime frogs, but still soothing.
