How to save Destiny 2.

If any devs or directors or excutives are reading this, I am writing this to help you understand why players are angry, and how you can quite easily fix the game and save it from imminent death. Its much more simple than one might think, and I believe that reading this article and perhaps even implementing what I write below will be more than worth your time. First off, let me say that releasing the "Into The Light" update for free is wonderful. Its the first step of many to regaining the trust of your community. I and many others are looking forward to it, and I truly hope it succeeds. Why is it a good step though? Because it is free. Yes, its that simple. You might think "But Guardian, we put out free event based content all the time!" And the reality is...no, you enable pre-existing content. You can't really compare Into The Light to other seasonal events like Guardian Games or Iron Banner, because they are just that. Seasonal. Access to those kind of things are naturally expected to be free across most games. The only thing I could possibly say is negative about it, is that you re-used the midtown map from pvp. Why? Was it impossible to make a larger map with the existing assets? To expand upon it even? For as good as D2 is, Bungie as a group has let the ego of the game itself inflate to more than it is worth, allowing the notably solid gameplay to outweigh the value of the gamespace in which said gameplay is implemented. D2 is the only game in the gaming-sphere that is considered among its fans to be more legendary than Final Fantasy, and yet still tries to charge players for the same amount of content contained within Final Fantasy while not actually offering said content. This is where we get into the meat of the issue. Have you ever stopped to think about how much the game has actually cost players over time to have access to every single piece of content that the team eventually deleted? How much has it cost to own every single major expansion and season in total since the game released? Did you know that if I as a Canadian want to get The Final Shape, it costs CAD$62.49, the same amount as your Gjallarheart Gear pack does? I would argue that it is purely ignorant to not think that major changes must be made to the economy of Destiny 2 if it is expected to do better financially and return to the status of a Legend in the gaming community. Bungie as a team needs to decide on a specific way of letting players support the game financially, either by releasing paid cosmetics as they have been doing, or by releasing paid updates, NOT BOTH. Either Cycle between the two, or do one or the other, but never both. Bungie must also improve pricing correlation between eververse store items and the silver packages offered. It is financially predatory to make a season cost 100 extra silver in order to force players to buy more silver to get the item and then have 500 silver they don't have any use for. Its shameful even. I understand if the team already knows all of this, but I must stress the following points. 1. You are selling a VIRTUAL PRODUCT. That means you can sell it FOREVER and never run out of stock. Now that you know players are not able to afford the frankly expensive and non-localized pricing that you have put on everything, Lower The Prices. Watch the pre-orders flow in when you cut the price in half. You may not realize it, but by raising costs and under-delivering on content total, you are actually gatekeeping a gaming experience. 2. Any player would be quite happy to regain access to any blocked off content that they have previously PAID FOR. Give us back the content we paid for, at this point we don't care about HDD space, we can make room. The lower prices are, the more HDD's we can buy to make space. You are the only live service that deletes access to more content than you bring in despite keeping all the assets of said deleted content on your servers. 3. Read. Steam. Reviews. 4. Stop re-using pvp/strike map locations for "new" content. Now you know why players are angry, and what you need to do to fix the issues. That's it! Thank you for your time.
