I Patrol.
When someone asks me what I do, I simply say, "I Patrol."
I don't really play PvP or Raids, I just...Patrol.
I can redraw every single detail of the map of Nessus from memory.
One time I Patrolled in the EDZ for 12 consecutive hours.
You are probably thinking "Why would you do that? It sounds like a waste of time!"
Well, that is exactly why. I love wasting time, especially in Patrol. My friends call me the Patroller.
No new PvP maps in years? Doesn't bother me, because I'm too busy patrolling.
New State of The Game article? No mention of patrol, not interested.
I never buy Season Passes, unless they come with more content for patrol.
I was upset when they vaulted Titan, I enjoyed patrolling that destination.
I’m just a silly guy that likes to patrol.

[i]EDIT: When I first typed this up, I was trying to be funny, so I exaggerated a bit in this post and tried to be a bit satirical…even though I do love to Patrol. So thank you to everyone who posted positive and encouraging comments and shared memories of their patrolling experience!
No one calls me the “Patroller” (Not yet anyway) and Idk if I can draw a fully detailed map of Nessus (I can try though) however I DID patrol the EDZ for 12 hours, if I find the screenshot of the Destiny Tracker Session timer I'll update this post.
Patrol isn’t the only thing I care about but it does make up quite a big chunk of my total play time. My total play time for D2 is 1,243 hours, according to Destiny Tracker. And I have 549 hours in “Explore” activities (Patrol) so, about half of my total play time is spent in Patrol. Lol. Maybe I should be called the “Patroller"...[/i]

No lie there are times when I honestly just patrol the maps too. Not because of a quest or anything crazy, I just get bored so I go exploring things that I normally would have missed. I go around finding really cool and beautiful areas that seem worthy of a picture and sometimes its just cool to watch enemy factions fight each other. This game has so much potential and the patrol areas could be where the gold is hidden. Bungie should probably work on allowing more than 6 people in one part of the map. How awesome would it be if we enter a patrol area and see like 25+ guardians just doing their own thing? Anyone remember back in D1 when you could just go to Venus and help people enter the vault of glass? That was an awesome experience. For a game thats supposed to be about friendship, we are locked out of a ton of things that could potentially make new friendships. To this day we still cant have 6 people on patrol, why? We want to race each other with sparrows!

I've spent thousands of hours in patrol too. I do bounties, I used to enjoy grinding to season rank 1000 legit every season by just doing bounties, mostly in patrol zones. They even removed that little bit of incentive to play by stick everyone between 6-11. Now I daily ask myself why I'm still playing, & with starfield downloaded one day I won't. They're lost, forever.

My first month of Destiny 1 was patrolling the Cosmodrone. I loved it.

2 RepliesToughen up cupcake, I wake up at 2AM the day before I fell asleep to give myself a 30 hour head start to get my -blam!- together. I start by booting up the #destiny sub forum to spew misinformation and vitriol for 7 hours straight, I then boot up destiny 2 and play competitive PvP for 23 consecutive hours, taking breaks between each match to spread more misinformation on the forums. I then go to sleep in 15 minute intervals to make sure I don’t engage in REM sleep like a real alpha sigma gamma man does, ensuring I wake up at 2AM the day before again to rinse and repeat. This is the real way to be a destiny professional.

2 RepliesVery Cool. I have 3,211 hours on patrol, out of 6,192 hours of playtime in D2 (around 8,000 hours in D1). I stopped playing Destiny in April, 2023. Had enough of Bungle and will never buy or play another Bungle game.

We need more Easter eggs, hidden areas and not to mention the public events could be looked at to make them more interesting and exciting (not just heroic) I do like the idea of merging exotic quests into patrol

I have 4390ish hours of D2 . 2300ish is explore . Haven't played since the end of May . I may have run my course with this game . Anyway , I just thought it was interesting . Never looked at Destiny Tracker before probably won't be going back to it any time soon . 😁

Marz was a fun patrol tbh. Escalation protocols could have been the best had they added more loot and bosses.

1 ReplyOne of my favorite emblems in D1 was the one for completing the Patrol challenges in the RoI challenge book. I think I still might have it on my Hunter. Wayfarer was also the first title I earned in Destiny 2 if I remember right. Like the D1 Patrol emblem, I usually keep Wayfarer equipped as my D2 title on my Hunter. I wish Bungie would do more with patrols, but not make them annoying like Neomuna.
