To the PvP chads out there, we’re in the hyperbolic time chamber lads, the ROOM OF SPIRIT AND TIME
Greetings chads,
This is an opportunity right now, every day you spend fighting other chads, you are leveling up your game.
No longer fighting fodder, carrying fodder. No. Shooting people who shoot back. And who knows how long this will last?
SBMM was eventually removed in forsaken, and if history repeats, what’s going to happen to all those bottom tier players in their protected playlist?
They’re getting absolutely railed.
You know what the benefit of only matching other chads for an extended period of time is? You get a lot -blam!- better
While the lower tier players will form bad habits, holding W with a shotgun, running blindly into lanes, all that easily counter able stuff.
If SBMM reverts, the skill gap is going to be even bigger
Keep training like goku lads, 1 season, 2 seasons, 1 year, 2 years. Heck even when trials comes around again. When the SBMM disappears, you’re getting some juiced up guardians

1 ReplySbmm has always made PvP worse the past times it was implemented so I highly doubt this will be permanent. Till then though I’m happy for the low skill players having slightly less trouble with their 3 whole matches a week

Low level players shouldn’t be facing off against elite players. It’s not competitive in any way and turns off newbs from part of the game You’re not cultivating a new crop of players. Weapons and load outs are way more powerful than years ago so it’s not a learning process to get curb stomped over and over in quick play. The matchmaking was abused mostly by mid tier players padding their KDs and being toxic in the process. You can thank them for the change. They changed one mode. Maybe they’ll add a CBMM 6v6. Either way you guys need to get over SBMM control. They aren’t changing it any time soon and if numbers are higher it will stay.

I think this is better though with SBMM - because now you can’t pad your stats with stomps against casuals and newbs… So now we’ll see how good YOU really are…

Competition is hard and pubstomp is fun, but there is a payoff and you will get a chance to display your immortally (is that a word, spellcheck says no🤔) superior skills in a video game playing ToO or rumble. 2 RepliesTechnically the lower tier players already get into lobbies with elite sweats when they pass 50% W/L and get higher kds due to the free wins the algorithm gives on the way to 50%. Thats why you see all the leaving right now, its the lower tiers getting into ridiculous matches because SBMM is trying to give them a forced loss.

I went on a binge yesterday and playlet it seemed like 6 hrs to get PVP out the system. Now IB comes. And for those liars who say that they see lag, damn you. No lag at all on my PS5. One nasty fat lie!!! I saw maybe one instance in those hours I played. It’s amazing to me that you lie so you can go and stomp bad players. It’s sad and pitiful.

3 RepliesI’m hoping this is bungies way of just testing Sbmm for when they rework comp. I really hope this is just a trial period so they can see exactly how to manage the MM in this game. One can hope but I do know that Sbmm won’t last very long in control. People will continue to leave and abandon matches so that’ll drive Bungie away from Sbmm in a quickplay setting.

21 RepliesThey need a real casual pvp mode No score or stats, the game mode runs off a 8 min timer A lot just want to “have fun” and I think a mode like that would be perfect for them, also the hardcore tryhards would avoid that mode
