Stat padding needs to be addressed by Bungie. I'm sick of sweats running away from matches because someone fired in their general direction.
A number on an emblem is more important than actually playing the game to them.

3 RepliesEdited by Censorship: 8/28/2022 2:02:47 AMIf I made this post 3-9 months ago. Everyone upvoting and commenting would be saying "Uhhh Akctually according to Bungie, the last Paul Tassi article and my 3 games a week nobody backs out to save their seasonal Kda. You're just lying nobody does this or cares about their stats. If they did why did Paul Tassi not make an article on it????"

Edited by draycole: 8/28/2022 2:14:42 AMIf it did, wouldn't "the elite" just quit a bunch of games to play against worse players? I mean according to this forum that's all they want to do, is to stomp low skilled players
-
1 ReplyPeople quit the games because they don't have fun playing that specific game, not kd. With sbmm the best players such as purechill, lanza, benny , check their d2 tracker, they all have like 1 to 1.5 kd like, the players who quit have under that probably, THEY JUST DON'T HAVE FUN. SBMM do not belong to a casual fun game, pvp in d2 is random. Last season we had poor lobby balancing where the good players had to carry entire games and so many newlights/low kda 0.40< ruining the all players experience which did cause so many giving or getting mercies. example team A have x3 0.40< and x2 2.0+, the other team 3x 1.20+ and 2x 1.5+ the 2.0+ had to carry the whole game, 0.40+ getting stomped. Solution? CBMM + Dedicated crucible for new lights and low kda players, to protect them. All players above 0.60+ and all players with a bit of experience in pve aswell such as raids, dungeons ecc will be splitted in a full random crucible Matchmaking based on good connections. They should just remove the 0.40< kda players and new light from normal crucible playlist and put them into a dedicated crucible well done for low kda and new lights, where those can learn the pvp basic which they miss obviously.
-
Lol. Fix connections then. It’s suppose to be a casual mode so who cares if they leave

5 RepliesHow about they make their networking not complete garbage so people don't feel like quitting is the only reasonable thing to do? EVERY match has laggy if not outright warping players. Punishing people for your game sucking is not the way to go.
-
6 RepliesNah, quitting is not about my stats quitting is about your stats. I don't want to run around with you, (.6) haven't played the game in 3 months, going 1 for 21 with your other 2 bottom dwelling partners, locking down the bottom half of the scoreboard with a combined 9 and 56, feeding the other team free points while I try to cap, get kills, control the map, deny heavy and try to prevent my own team from flipping the spawn because one of you 3 garbage blueberries just runs around capping everything which in turn spawn enemy behind me and that means I'm surrounded and I'm not getting help from the bow/sniper wielding basement fraggers who can't hit standing still hard scoping unaware enemies. That's why people leave, that's why they want SBMM because they want competent teammates. Not the bot walking, corner crouching, holding down non-objective lanes, get heavy and hand carry it to the enemy, can't read at a radar, run 35 meters to double melee a weak 1 shot opponent, run away from engagements when you run up to help them, oblivious to the score, afraid to move out the spawn, I'm only here to complete my bounty/get my pinnacle "gaurdians."

2 RepliesWhy play a game you’re not enjoying

10 RepliesI will quit the match if my first two bullets doing no damage :)))
-
20 RepliesThe majority of you players who bring up KDA are bad at the game in general. Like that would matter to you who quit
-
6 RepliesEdited by J: 8/28/2022 1:35:50 AMI feel like people leaving the game has nothing to do with a kda emblem and everything to do with the fact that sbmm is just absolutely horrible in destiny. Someone created this kda emblem narrative a few days ago and now everyone is just running with it lol
-
1 ReplyI’m at the point that any time I get a game on Disjunction I will quit. Absolutely hate that map!
-
This is a problem the destiny community made for itself We unnecessarily value k/d over all other stats, and behaviours like this are unlikely to ever change or be addressed until the community as a whole understands k/d is not a definitive judgement of skill. If they do this, people will just sit back and not fight in matches where they think theyll get stomped. If bungie addresses that, theyll find a new way.
-
How else are they going to have fuel to brag about how good they are in pvp on the forums? Now a days, whenever I see someone being toxic or entitled its usually someone with a high K.D acting like they are better than anyone else.
-
1 ReplyWhy? KD has never ever remotely been an indicator of "skill" in pub stomp arena shooters. KD is an indicator of the players you play with. I myself had a 5-10+ KD while playing stacked. All the time. Playing entirely solo made my KD drop to below 2.0 simply because of matchmaking. When you exclusively solo, you have to carry bad players against a team of average players. That hasn't changed with SBMM. It's still the same old lopsided garbage just against and with better players. Kids you see with a high KD just play with other stacked players the majority of their time. It's as simple as that. Pure gunskill can't be measure by KD, it's interesting to me that to this day people still don't understand that lol.
-
1 ReplyNah, just make it so if you quit 3 times in a 24 hour period then you are banned for 24 hours from quick play. Easy.
-
Why look at kda anyway, look at win rate...that more useful anyway...especially for folks not stacking in teams all the time.
-
It shouldn't affect their K/D because they will then matchmake with lower tier K/D players... So, you will see ALOT more people leaving matches. Instead ; a timed ban where you can't join any PvP matches that last much longer than 30 minutes (which is how it is currently) Let's say : a day for the first time to begin with.

9 RepliesEdited by GIVE EM HELLBOY: 8/27/2022 12:47:19 PMWho the hell cares about kd, let alone kda?
-
Mhmm smh *pulls Ethernet*
-
It's funny when people said "I'll leave any natch I don't like" when CB was implemented and now that SB is here apparently it's an issue. The bottom of the barrel people only want things to benefit them
-
You don't want it to affect their stats at all.. That's what higher skilled players are going to do in order to get into lower ranked matches to stomp other players. You know this whole position about how top tier players are now gonna have to fight amongst themselvesIt's a very flawed position to argue from. This is all they need to do and you are now advocating for a path they can take to lower their own ranking on purpose.
-
It’s oké to quit a match don’t get hung-up on it. It’s casual crusible. It’s the way it’s suppose to be.
-
is ok , quitting for bad lobbybalancing with sbbm is ok , and imagine asking to effect the kda, with that change all good players will start quit to get bad players lobby
-
People need to stop trying to make this game a e-sport, so no, quitting is okay and is part of gaming, go play fork knife or something if you don't like it
-
Yep it absolutely has to. There's no other choice.
-
I wasn’t in favour of another post that suggested time bans, but I like this idea penalising players kda for quitting
