In all seriousness, I’m not that beat up about the date not leading to a second, but it was sad.
For anyone who wants to know, check spoiler
[spoiler]the date went very well. We spent about 4-1/2 hours together, she took me back to her apartment to meet her roommates and stuff said she was excited for me to meet them and stuff. Asked me to text her when I got home etc.
I texted her later that night to set up a second date and the next evening she texted that she had a lot of fun but didn’t see it going anywhere.
Something makes me think it was the fact that long term we live several states apart, but I really liked her and fly for free. Idk. Best date I’ve ever been on imo.[/spoiler]

Never believe that a woman wants to be put on a pedastal or treated like a Queen. If you treat her like a Queen, she will treat you like a peasant. Queens look for Kings....not their subjects. If you had arranged a second date while you were still together, you might have been able to pull that off as being decisive. But texting her to do it came across as not having other options. Which will set off alarm bells in many women's heads about the possibility (true or not) that you might become obsessed and controlling. In the future, give things time to cool off....and give her time to MISS you and wonder about you. You'll come across as someone more desirable (she'll assume that you're spending that time with other women), more confident, and as a puzzle that she can have fun solving. You showed your hand too soon, and it killed the thrill of the chase for her. 4. Only invest in a woman (time, energy, resources) to the degree she invests in you...NOT to the degree you like her. If you do the latter, you are setting yourself up to be taken advantage of. Right now she's telling you that she is either not into you....or she has someone in her orbit that she feels more strongly about. A woman who is really into you wouldn't make your having to travel to her a dealbreaker. She'd be breaking traffic laws trying to get to you. Which means she's doing you a favor. You are no one's consolation prize. Lose her number. A Rejection is the Universe's Protection. [/spoiler]

5 RepliesI too hate dating as a concept. But I don’t really meet anybody organically, like through work, so I have to go out of my way to ‘meet’ people and it’s just so ridiculous and far more awkward than it needs to be.
