At the end of the final seasonal mission we see Zavala limping around in the cut scene. This doesn't really make sense since a guardians ghost heals them almost instantly and can still heal even I darkness zones or when they are cut off from the light as we saw in the Red War.
So I've come up with a few theories:
1. Zavala is soar from clapping cheeks with Ciatal the previous night. (After all they say the best way to get over an Ex is to get under someone new) Nothing like Greek wrestling a 1 ton space rhino.
2. Zavalas ghost is lazy or fighting with Zavala and didn't heal him out of spite.
3. Titan armor is really heavy and awkward to move in.
4. Zavalas ghost is suffering from side effects from the light dampening tech used on it during the assassination attempt last year.
5. Zavala lost his ghost during the fight and is now lightless.

1 ReplyBoth he and Crow got ambushed by something.

"Greek wrestling a 1 ton space rhino" I laughed way too hard at this. I like #4 as an idea though
-
2 RepliesWell, he is inside a pyramid ship, so probably a darkness zone, preventing healing and revival. Combine that with his tussle with the scorn, which made have given him some sort of wound to the leg tainted with blight, and you have a limp.
-
4 RepliesDarkness zone is my head canon. Or dramatic effect.

He's been standing in the Tower for four years straight. His keg fell asleep.

Destiny community shut up about "haha zavala totally bangs caiatl" challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

1 ReplyZavala getting too old fo this shiz.
-
2 RepliesOther than the fact that she's 9 feet tall and 5 feet wide---with tusks-----she and Zavala make a cute couple.

1 ReplyWhy is the guardian limping after the nuclear descent in deep stone crypt? Make up some theories for that, while I go make some coffee.
-
7 RepliesDon’t take it too literally. He just got back from fighting. It’s not like he had time to get his ghost and ask for some healing. It’s just a small detail. Nothing more, nothing less. He was also tired. Am I supposed to brainstorm a mind shattering theory about the game because he was tired? Why was he tired? What happened? No, it’s because he was tired. You know, Zavala does sleep, and Cayde actually ate. Guardians don’t have to do that. So I suggest, just don’t take it too seriously.

1 ReplyIt's gotta be #1, there's no other viable explanation.

Bump for legitimate lore. Would read again.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
1.I hope this us true , interspecies relationships need to be a thing in Destiny,I would take Eido on a date to Savathuns Throne world, Savathuns water gardens are really romantic this time of year 2. Drifter and his ghost barely speak to each other, and he still gets revived 3. Explain Thundercrash, and the best most reliable jump in the game 4. Possibility 5. If that were the case , it would have been a bigger deal I think he was just acting injured so Caital would help him and create a moment between them, or was done for cinematic reasons , also pulling out your ghost at the wrong time can be fatal, RIP Sundance -
I was wondering that as well. #1 gets my vote.

1 ReplyHe slayed the Cabussy.
