Lost all characters
I just loaded up the game this morning. I was up all night last night until 4:00am now it is 1:10pm and loaded up the game and now I see a single hunter at 1350 with nothing. I still have the artifact and my light is 1367. But I haven’t opened the character or anything because I’m afraid to permanently mess up something. I don’t know how this happened. But I want my characters back and this problem fixed. I still have all my triumphs and everything. I just completed the Reaper seal/title yesterday and now I just happen to not have my characters? At this point I feel like I shouldn’t even play the game anymore because of all my effort in getting to 1570/1587 with light boost. I just want my stuff back I don’t understand I didn’t even do anything and my stuff is all missing. Was deadass playing at 4:00am to wake up to having nothing, makes total -blam!- sense. I’ve spent so much money on this -blam!- game, if bungie can just make me lose all my characters in an instant while I’m sleeping, Ima try and sue them because this is ridiculous! Also everywhere I look it says bungie doesn’t help with getting characters back if they were deleted. I never deleted them I woke up with all my stuff gone but my stuff in vault and inventory. And my inventory would be missing if I actually deleted the characters which I didn’t. I just want to play my favourite game and I can’t now :(

1 ReplyEdited by ADragonWithin: 7/6/2022 5:29:01 PMIf you did not delete your characters, I would suggest changing your login credentials, as someone with access to your account did so. It wasn't Bungie. Characters can only manually be deleted from within the game on the character select screen. The API is reporting that your characters were indeed deleted and not just missing, so someone logged in using your account, and deleted your characters. The reason you have an intro class there is because you cannot delete the last character, so the person had to create that character in order to delete your last normal character.

Someone has access to your account and deleted your characters. IDK if they have your user name/pass or if they just logged in to a console/PC that you used in the past. You need to re-secure your account and possibly start resetting ALL of your passwords (outside this account) if they are in any way associated with your Bungie account. "Ima try and sue them because this is ridiculous!" Good luck!

Vault doesn’t delete if characters delete. Maybe next time you will add 2 factor authenticator.
