Stop Lying About Common Exotic Gear for Master Lost Sectors
i swear no lie I’ve ran this lost sector solo at least 15 times today & not a SINGLE exotic dropped…Don’t get me started on the number of times I got ZERO loot from the chest😡

Stopped doing them ages ago as the exotic drop rate is abysmal. I agree with you Bungie needs to increase the drop rate, but the Bungie RNG God has been a stingy sod since day one!

The next day i ran another lost sector and got the exotic straight up, changed to my titan, ran it again and got it first up again. The mind boggles at how Bungie works.

8 RepliesThe drop rate for masters is abysmal. Not even close to "common" I've said before they should implement a tier system that can guarantee drops. Maybe have a set of goals, die 0 times, kill all champions, get X amount of precision kills, and complete in under X minutes. You do 2/4 and it guarantees an exotic drop. You get 4/4 and it guarantees a stat roll of 64+. Something like that, anyway.

3 RepliesFor the 1millionth time, legend and master do not have different drop rates. The difference between the 2 is an extra chance. Think of Legend being one lottery ticket and master being 2 lottery tickets. I believe it is labeled as common for predatory marketing. But srsly once to twice a month some one posts this and I have to inform them how the lost sector loot system works.

1 ReplyThe drop rate on the hardest lost sectors around 25% while the other is 15%, not worth the hassle at doing the harder one unless your desperate for the exotic

RNG for sure. I've pulled the exotic on the first run once and other times 50 to 60 runs before I got the new one I didn't have yet. It's a farm thing for Bungie to get more hours played.

It is weird that I used to run these and basically get a drop ever 3 runs on average..This past season I would def say its not as lucrative.. I would peg it anecdotally at 1 in 8.. Which used to be the average from the legend which I don't run much at all anymore so I couldn' say how or if this changed. Bungie seems to have changed something. Just revert it to what I feel it was previously.. Perhaps i'm just on the bad side of RNG now and was on the good side previously I understand bungie doesn't want to provide streamers and those like myself who have near endless hours to play the advantage to run this content for perfect rolls easily.. but, thats realistically what happens in a game that is a looter shooter that you spend more time playing.. or atleast IMHO, it should provide that advantage.. get out what you put in.. the more you put in, the more likely you will profit more. Many may not realize too that bungie does have and utilize the reward system that takes in to consideration your play time, the more you play the less likely you will earn the same reward as someone who plays less. so that your drops will create parity even though one plays far less than the other. I feel this is likely the culprit for many of us.

The most legendary lost sectors I did without an exotic is 17. I continued do 5 more and got 4 exotics. For me 4 exotics for 22 runs seem pretty good.

If you already have all Exotics, the drop rate is abysmal. This is a Lottery Shooter.

4 RepliesShould just do bad luck protection. Go 10% to 50% over five runs then guaranteed on 6th run or something. Same issue for exotic drops in raids. People don’t mind doing it a few times, but eventually it’s just annoying.

Seems like a lot of goes. The most I had was 7 runs for any one piece. Maybe you're just unlucky.
