No thanks. Bounties should've never offered XP as the norm to begin with. Edit: After some thinking, earning rep though the bounties wouldn't be a terrible idea, but imo, it should be done through playing the activity itself rather than doubling down on the bounty cramming we've been continually doing since Y3. Really, I don't know why they didn't just add an activity streak like playlist activities currently use.

  • Passive material gathering sources like they use to be. The driving force of XP should be the main activities themselves; this would also encourage people to actually play the game as intended rather than selfish play at the expense of your teammates.

  • Gotta have balance bro. Sometimes in Destiny, ppl go it solo, that's their right and shouldn't b penalised for doing so. As for resources, you can farm them anywhere, particularly with ur ghost trackers so bounties providing them is surplus to requirement.

  • I'm all for encouraging solo play, but it shouldn't hinder your teammates too which is exactly what bounties currently incentivize (this is especially apparent in playlist activities). Ghost mods don't make resource farming that much better from my experience, not on their own at least. Why spend 5 minutes harvesting 10 nodes for 1-2 resources each (save for TS/DC which are actually generous with harvesting) when I could instead do several 2 minute bounties and earn much more in less time? Better yet, why not do both at once to maximize profits for a relatively cheap opportunity cost? The way I see it, bounties and general resource farming can go hand-in-hand to increase passively gaining resources, while we can have Spider (soon to be Rahool) still be there to provide quicker access to some of those materials but for a sharper price.

  • I agree some resource locations are better than others but I don't agree that bounties disincentivizes team play. If you're in a team, all of you can just pick up the same bounties. Also there will always be players who will be running solo coz their mates are at work, or chilling with family, out somewhere else and can't always be on D2. The bounties are there for everyone to do when they please. But bounties for the 6 player repeatables that aren't boosted additionally by weekly quest completions should award rep to lessen boring repeats. That's my opinion anyway.
