You are literally letting people eat your game up for personal selfish gain and it's starting to get outta hand it shouldn't have ever been a thing to begin with but the e fact that you have sat back and done nothing basically to these players who have malicious intent on ruining others experience so they can guarantee 5-10% of the player base who is just simple to lazy to play the game or "has better things to do" so they pay for the gear or they just simple refuse to try and get better themselves so they pay someone else to do it it's pretty sad cause they act like they are the best players on the team cause they spent 25 dollars on a trials weapon and now feel the need to show off said 25 dollar trials gear that they can earn or even do the game mode for at a certain point it's a very small percentage that gets benefits and a very large percentage that just gets the crap end of the stick...... thanks for not having a back bone and dealing with very toxic behavior in your community.

Like what ban them? report them? Call someone? Ask them politely to stop ha yeah right, your not going to stop them you might hinder there progress a bit but it will never stop them entirely. Its like with the cheaters in trials no matter what you do there's no sure way fix to it, there's no switch to flip that will make everything ok the only thing bungie can do for paid carries is the same thing they did for cheaters using aim bot go file a lawsuit against the company that runs that site and get it taken down. But that's only one site, there are hundreds of sites and that same site will just pop back up with a different name in a months time so what can you do? Nothing that's what, a lawsuit takes time effort and money to crack down on even one site like that, bungie will go broke trying to stop them all, so get over it cause bungie can't fix a broken system all they can do is try to enrich the experience and try to take your mind off the fact their game is broken and full of cheaters.

See I never understand this argument. It’s a you problem, stop checking stats and just play the game as well as you know how. Recovs and carries literally hurt no one. Devalues the loot a tad sure but can you honestly blame anyone for not wanting to step into the stasis, chaos reach and cheating bubble that trials has devolved into? If you ban recovs, those players just play on their own accounts anyways so I don’t see the point. Trials isn’t meant to be for the average players
-
2 RepliesThe sad truth is if it wasn't for the paid carries and recoveries, the trials population would likely be much smaller.
-
The problem with this is you actually get the guts to go in being told you would get matched up with people of your own skill then you get smashed to bits off a recovery and never touching that game mode again. There’s loads of people that have done this
-
2 RepliesPeople only dislike paid recovs and carries because they parrot content creators. The only difference between free and paid carries is the name.

2 RepliesEdited by Crota bin Oryx: 6/30/2021 7:19:42 AMLet me present a theoretical scenario. Let's say, every Friday when Trials begin, Bungie puts a flawless card for sale on Eververse which you buy for 20-30k silver (or equivalent of 30-40$) and you get an adept weapon and a weekend pass to lighthouse. Now imagne if this happens, how many do you think will use it or loathe it? I am sure that a lot will loathe it as being unfair etc but a lot will also use it. Carry services is not the problem. Its a mechanism to find a workaround to some problem which is deeply built in this game. Bungie cannot fix it because they did not create it. They created an environment which enables this to be a viable business model and fixing that environment is a diabolical task. We all know that Bungie never fixes a thing which favours any players. Fun police does not allow that.

Edited by WulfPak666: 6/29/2021 10:34:02 PMSome people play games to be the best at them. Some people play games to have fun. If you have "fun" by dropping $40-$100 bones having someone sweat their ass of for an hour so you can play casual pvp with Trials guns, you do you, booboo. If you don't have time to sit through an LFG nightmare and just want to get the raid done and someone is offering to carry you for $30, what does it matter? I haven't done it but if given the option, I'd much rather drops $20 and run a raid in 15mins then spend 2 hrs on Atheon because nobody wants to do call outs, keeps shooting the wrong Oracle or keeps shooting the supplicants and wiping everyone when doing damage. Or run a GMNF with godly players than use LFG and waste 1-2 hrs without being able to pass the first set of enemies. Plus, if Bungie ever does crack down on recovs, they better look inwards first since a few Bungie employees have had their accounts recovered by notable streamers in the past (and probably still do) And "toxic" community is laughable considering the most toxic part of the Destiny community is the wannabe Gatekeeper PvP and PvE endgame Playerbase.

It’s been like this since trials dropped in d1. I bet there’s been 1000 post just like this. You can’t track it, it’s a dead end.
-
4 RepliesSkill based matchmaking solves all this. But then the pvp'ers will cry that they have to try to win against people who sweat like them.
-
5 RepliesOnly read the title but I fully agree. Something definitely needs to be done about paid trials carries as it’s getting way too expensive.
-
It’s literally impossible to stop paid recoveries as that done outside of the game and forums (Mostly) You want Bungie to crack down of discord chats? You want Bungie to stop people from paying others so no more money for these carries? It’s an issue impossible to stop mate

7 RepliesThe fact that people are defending paid Trials services really shows the mentality of people who play Trials. To reference some replies on this post, someone was being toxic, I call them out for it, they say that they're not toxic and that I should kill myself. The logic is impeccable. A common argument is "the recovery players would beat you on their normal account anyway", which is a fair point to raise. The people who own the account, however, probably wouldn't beat you or else they wouldn't feel a need to pay for a service. Another common argument is "there's no gatekeeping, you're just bad". There absolutely is gatekeeping in Trials. There are players who reset their cards at 3 wins or fewer just so they can win easy matches against people who only want the lowest tier reward and for the purpose of denying them.

just clear the posts in the lfg section

Just, y’know, out of curiosity has there ever been a moment where someone actually from Bungie, able to represent their views as a whole, openly condemned paid carries services and third-party sites that host such services? Because I’ve personally never seen such a thing and it seems rather convenient that they’ve stayed so hands-off over the discussion of paid carry services yet could barely manage to contain the situation of PC launch.
-
23 RepliesI hope you realize that, whether these people are playing Crucible on their account or doing a recov on someone else’s, you, along with everyone else, will still have to deal with better players stomping you in PvP.
-
Best way to make everyone happy is to simply nuke trials and call it a day. This game was never designed to be focused on pvp anyway
-
I agree.
-
Regardless they are playing to win and will smash you, whether they were doing a paid carry or not.
-
Bungie should just take a cut of the profits and use it fund new crucible maps.
-
You came late to the party ! They have done nothing for D1 day one when there's was a true feasting of hard core Chester's with switch lag , DDOS etc when they have made thousands every day from carrying people ! Looking on those accounts recovery website you will have a clue about what kind of money those people have made for carrying on PVP and PVE there's people who have spent thousands of dollars on those sites ! They have to pay something to Bungie to be allowed to go for that long ! I never figured out how can a game studio let someone to milk their players for millones during years meanwhile they have to put their game on free to play because the game was dead !

You are literally letting people eat your game up for personal selfish gain.
That's what ^streaming^ is. Instead of crying that you lost try getting better. Farmers also hate that supermarkets sell the produce they made for.
-
Bungie doesn’t care.
-
24 RepliesCheap solution to paid carries and recoves... Remove trials. No trials, no paid carries and recoves. Removes the income from those pieces of crap that do those things.
-
2 RepliesNothing wrong with paid carries so long as the carrier isn't cheating, they literally have emblems dedicated to people who Sherpa others in raids/ to the lighthouse. In order to fix the issue, they need a better anti cheat
-
run on sentence much

2 RepliesEdited by Althanash: 6/29/2021 8:15:51 PMThey can't because in a way.......these services (run by cheaters and some legitimates) are hard to trace unless advertised. It makes Bungie money while people are making money. Greed outweighs integrity this is why you don't see things get fixed properly. Just look at riven cheesing or the menagerie glitches back in the day. The day Bungie have integrity is the day I'm a billionaire.
