Well Lakshmi. Maybe, just maybe the darkness, Xivu or Savathun or whoever else decided to attack the Last City and the Fallen decided to defend it and the Traveler.
She doesn't know why they're there, why the paranoia?

3 RepliesIn a lore entry (can’t remember which one) Mithrax was questioned what he seen when holding the cube from the vex network, he described the city at war, basically what Lakshmi seen and said “lies”. It sounds like FWC is being manipulated.

Well, no one said Lakshmi is smart. I'm pretty sure the fallen will be standing up against our common foe and protect the surrounding area. Perhaps they too become chosen by the traveler again.

3 RepliesI was talking to my friend about this because it is suspicious. But my conclusion was that she's probably afraid of the fallen being with us because the cabal, another species accepted as evil, captured the traveler for a time. So I think she's paranoid. The future machine FWC has is also mysterious. Does it give the single most likely future, or does it list all possible futures? If that were the case, FWC could choose what they wanted to tell the people. So they could have quite a bit of political power with this future machine.

Lakshmi saw the future of the Eververse store in Y1 and not once did she mention what it'd become.... So guillable.

To be fair the Fallen haven't really done much in the way of gaining our trust in her eyes. She still sees the civilian slaughtering monsters of the old Houses. Plus she was right about the Red War and the Vanguard ignored her. I don't agree with her nor do I think Mithrax would betray us, but her fear isn't without reason.

For her, they are enemies, just as much as xivu arath, savathun and what not. She just went with the worst case scenario. Sure, its paranoic, but its not without reason.
