I think the prediction she saw is wrong. Not saying the vision itself was wrong. I'm saying that Lakshmi is taking it too seriously. The only reason why I say this is because of the fact we are crashing the Vex network. We are "crashing" the network to get information about the Endless-Night. And I have reason to believe that these crashes are disrupting the prediction engines FWC use and the others across the vex network.
If Lakshmi still believes in that one prediction, she won't give it up. Because I have reason to believe that FWC will part of the cause. I don't trust the future in this season, since we are hurting the vex in the most sensitive part of the network. I think the present is more reliable than the future if we just trust House Light.
I know it's too early in the season to theories this, but I know that it will lead up to something like this.

Or the fallen in the middle we’re trying to stop the chaos

4 RepliesBased on datamined dialogue it's pretty much what you'd expect. Her prophecy is true but misinterpreted. Spoilers ahead:
The Fallen are fighting in the city, but alongside humanity against a vex incursion. A vex incursion deliberately opened by Lakshmi. From the looks of things she somehow is allowed to walk free after that, despite the fact that allowing a vex incursion of the city is probably about the biggest treason you could commit.
1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 5/13/2021 11:35:07 PMFor all we know, Mithrax was helping to defend the City... or he was getting attacked by radicals. Lakshmi just assumed the worst without proper context.

Seems pretty obvious she got it a little wrong.
-
It's not to early to theorize about this.

I actually just made a forum post on this very subject: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/258931461/0/0 I believe that Lakshmi-2 is misunderstanding the vision. Mithrax and his House Light understand that the City is bound to the Vex network and that kne can't stand without the other falling. I believe that this falling is what Lakshmi-2 sees. The Vex are defeated and the City collapses.

1 ReplyEh it’s already datamined she just dies like a nub
-
1 ReplyHonestly she needs to shut her face. I’m sick of taking orders from these clowns, there not out there fighting and dying.
-
Maybe the Eliksni were there to defend the Last City from the darkness invasion perhaps. She didn't see the whole thing.
-
Edited by Centaur-1: 5/14/2021 2:25:14 AMI think either she's crazy, or even better, it comes true but she misunderstood it. All she told us was that there was a war in the city with Eliksni in the center. They could be helping us or they disagree with Misraaks and betray him or FWC tries to assassinate them and they defend themselves.

That's the thing about the Future....it can Never Truly be Seen.

1 ReplyNew weapon lore talk about Spider agents infiltrated House Light so that they can take over and run things for Spider. What if, what Lakshima saw was a Spider fallen takeover and not Mithrix and his followers.
-
I believe it's Lakshmi herself that attacks them first. Her message was loud and her intentions clear, "I was ignored when I warned them about Ghaul I will not sit around and be ignored again."
-
In her vision she sees the HoL standing in the ruins of a burning city, my guess is that they are there defending the city and she has made the false connection that they are responsible for the city falling due to her paranoia.
-
3 RepliesThe last time people ignored her predictions, ghaul was raining fire from the sky and defeated the city. She has reasons to be this paranoic, is what i'm saying.
-
A rough draft from the data mine info suggest the visions are true but only certain parts of it. Quaria succs the power but we defeat it and the endless night starts receding. This opens the door for the witch queen who probably has a lot to do with some false visions but pretty much the tower is going to get wiped again

<She's causing these immediate futures to happen. Her stupidity is overwhelming. The only futures the Device predict that make sense are the ones that happen in the immediate future. Nothing, however, is going to change the Majestic Dark Future until the Dark War begins.>

9 RepliesHow much of the future can her machine even see?

No different than Saladin last season. Need a random NPC to cast doubt on our new Ally's true intentions. Bungie is nothing if not cyclical with their content.

I believe her. Only time will tell by the end of this Season!
