Other than another system with 2 more currencies than are needed, what is the issue?
How much gear do you really want to sift through? How often do you completely change up your look? I mean, if I were to waste time next season unlocking all of the available weave for all characters, I doubt I would ever need to convert anything ever again.
Honestly, I would scrap the whole idea behind this system if they would put the eververse inventory back into the engrams and make sure that there was a bright dust equivalent for all eververse offerings.
The last three ornament sets I have purchased have all been bright dust, and they all came from EV. And beyond those, I mainly use season pass(old ones, not the past two god awful ones) ornaments.
Are there some old sets that look cool? Sure. But not cool enough to compel me to waste time grinding for loom materials.
Yup, Bungie is overcomplicating the system. YUP, they are way more focused on Eververse. And yes, this is something that should have been implemented a long time ago when universal ornaments became a thing.
But we all know who we brought to this dance. Bungie isn't going to get any better at this aspect.
And to be REALLY honest. We all know that in a season or two, they will introduce a change that trivializes the whole thing, just like they did with infusion.
My suggestion, pick out your top sets, grind them out. And then just wait until this get's "fixed" in the future.

I understand your side, as that I only really use 1 set of armor, but a bunch of my friends hate it. Its convoluted, and there's really no reason to limit it, it just gives everyone a bad feeling. That, along with the only way to bypass the limit is to open your wallet, really doesn't help.

I only got like 2 armor sets to transmog thats about it honestly nothing else really interests me.

1 ReplyIt’s the forums. People will -blam!- and pretend that things that aren’t a problem are one.

1 ReplyEdited by Le_Reinforcements: 4/26/2021 9:47:28 PMA limit on Transmog per season for data constraints would've been one thing. The fact that players paid for Seasonal/Event sets at one time that have not been brought forward as ornaments continues to be a point of contention. Bungie implementing a much requested feature in a needlessly tedious way to encourage players to use the Eververse is a point of much contention.

So um what is the problem here.... Staff with no passion and only care about the easy ride pay check

3 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 4/26/2021 9:05:10 PMIf people never complained about the game's problems, things wouldn't get fixed. And, let's be very real, this transmog system could've been implemented better. Even you know that. People didn't need to be screwed out of bringing back their Y1/Y2 solstice gear.

2 RepliesThe problem is that it's overly grindy & tedious on purpose in order to get players to buy the EV shortcut. It was one thing when this stupid tiered materials system existed for weapons in Curse of Osiris, but for cosmetics? No way. And armor glows and most y1 armor isn't supported on top of that?? Half-baked.

I'm just not going to participate, unless they make a quest or something involving transmog. If I can skip it, I will.

Yea man, Gotta be honest, I don’t even care anymore. After all the hype and bs, I’m not even bothering with it. It’s just a waste of time.
