Hi, ah I'm hoping to get a hint of my Steam refusing to launch Destiny 2. I spent $95.37 for Beyond Light, Shadowkeep, and Forsaken and I was pressing on with gaming. Now, over a day after the 3.1.0 update to D2 many people can't launch the game in Steam. I've gone through a long list of suggestions from Twitter to youtube dealing with this problem with no relief. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There's a hotfix going out in a little over half an hour from now that's supposed to fix this issue. Hopefully that takes care of it for you. Source: https://twitter.com/BungieHelp/status/1359962107760971776

Thanks for the heads up. It has indeed, that is on my machine. At 1756 hours today the D2 button in Steam displayed blue and "update" (I believe). I was so unnerved I forgot to take a screenshot. D2 launched and tossed my Guardian into transport to unfamiliar area which got him killed. Anyhow I can now rest my neck and game. Thanks for being there.

Great, glad it's working again. Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy some gaming without encountering any more major problems. Have a good one.

Hey, Bungie is aware of the issue and they're looking into it. It seems to be related to the CPU, and while some users have found a workaround, it involved editing your BIOS. That's something I would recommend against unless you're already comfortable editing those settings, as a wrong move could render your computer inoperable.
