I'm not sure if there's a bug or not, but scouts are shooting slower than they should, Sidearms have no utility unless it's Drang, SMGs are weaker than both Sidearms and Auto Rifles, non-exotic rockets are underperforming, Linear Fusions need help in PvE, Fusions need help in PvE, so many weapons are in desperate need of assistance.
Bungie's latest philosophy seems to have the game centering in on primarily being a Hand Cannon + Shotgun game with the occasional sniper in pvp, and an irritating double-primary requirement for endgame PvE outside of the Raid and Prophecy dungeon.
Something needs to be done, because the minimal tweaks given to anything that isn't an HC or Auto Rifle is starting to hurt the game's balance.

2 RepliesSlug shotguns are the high dps strat for the new raid right? So that immediately eliminates your claim that " end game " PvE promotes double primary..... Just saying. Scouts are very good and apply A LOT of flinch. Pulses 2 tap. Side arms have the fastest base ttks in the game with 18-23m of range, roll depending... Bows have ungodly amounts of aim assist. Linear fusions have ungodly amounts of aim assist. 140 hand cannons are good. 120s violate scouts and pulses IMO... But scouts and pulses have faster ttks... So hit your shots? Snipers have flinch now. Shotguns have received multiple nerfs, let it go. Felwinters comes back next season in the kiosk. Fusions are good still. Yes. In PvE some of the guns listed above underperform. Auto rifles do tickle damage. Imagine auto rifles with ~42 rounds with back up mag... ~75 rounds with back up mag and overflow and rampage hitting 10k+ per shot. PvE is already easy... Imagine how simple it would be then. That's probably why some of those weapons don't hit hard. Risk v Reward. It's something the game is losing because it's being stripped down and simplified. Please stop asking for nerfs simply because you don't like the archetype and / or want to play against it. That's silly.

2 RepliesSo side arms aren’t exactly hit scan. There is a very very very short delay between trigger pull and hit register. More noticeable at longer distances aka out side it’s intended range. Tested it multiple times against literally every other weapon that fires bullets. Side arms are at a disadvantage because of that tbh

In pvp I can still rock a side arm and doing ok...not great not bad but playable. Last hope is good, rat King is good. Havent noticed the scout issue, Mida is still very strong

I think the target acquisition on my night watch is very sticky, I'm loving it. I with it had about 10-25% more damage especially for legend lost sectors. I love fusions but the legendary ones feel way underpowered for higher tiered activities. But worse thing is having to dismantle my masterworked Bad Omens (sunsetting) to only have another one drop that gets me to season 14. Waste of kill counter and shards. There's other weapons, this just come to mind first.
