I feel this ability may require a significant buff with aim assist/target tracking
-
It would need buff it it didn’t slam people across the universe at lightning speed
-
My irrelevant personal experience says otherwise, but it's interesting that the target tracking is a topic. I'd think it would be the attack angle that gets people. Absolutely fun as an ability though. Yeeting yourself across an arena to smash through ice or ice-jump for a grand slam from up high is really satisfying, so the actual ability feedback is excellent.

Edited by LordD2: 11/16/2020 7:27:16 PMThe tweak i think this needs is for the strike to count regardless of range. If the enemy is too close you can be right on target, but you'll just fly past because it was inside the melee activation range. Either that or misses need to be refunded as with other non projctile melee abilities.
-
2 RepliesMy problem is activating it when I don’t want to. It sucks wanting to regular punch an enemy but activate the lunge instead and fly past
-
Definitely way inconsistent.
-
16 RepliesAs a titan main, we definitely got shafted with stasis abilities I might actually become a warlock main because of it
-
Dude, the aim assist is mental!
-
9 RepliesIt should be like all other melee abilities and not take your energy if it doesn’t connect
-
Definitely aim assist and also currently in crucible it isn’t counting as a melee kill for the stasis ability quests
-
Stasis titan needs to be fixed they used the ark tree as an overlay for the stasis build

Edited by dead fighter 3: 11/15/2020 7:04:58 PMNo... it goes way to far and fast. (Plus it gets tracking and magnetism in the super) use the melee as a movement, think of it as twilight garrison in a way since you go so far and fast you can pull off some cheeky moves with it if you use it outside of just melee. Play with it and experiment.
-
You mean you actually have to aim to hit a target? Now that's unheard of, Bungie!
-
11 RepliesNo, it doesnt. Bout damn time titans got a shit ability. Let them suffer the way the hunters do. Especially since we have. Yet again. Been shafted in the way of supers
-
It feels like all melees are having problems connecting this season
-
I thought the same at first, but odds are you're probably not releasing the button at the right time.
-
It's that way on purpose since you don't need a running start and the lunge range is twice as long.
-
1 ReplyYou have to hold melee then release when you get close to your target or it’s not going to track them.
-
2 RepliesI feel that you are simply not utilizing the ability correctly as it is objectively one of the best movement options in the game.
-
2 RepliesThis melee is so slow that I launched one yesterday and hit a Dreg in Destiny 1.

Edited by Theo, Warmind's Wrath: 11/14/2020 5:22:39 PMAs a pure Titan player uncapable of using those nonsense Hand Cannon and sniper and of playing Hunter and Warlock, the love to go melee the hell out of everything everywhere, I do confirm that this melee is AWFUL and NONSENSE ! Like you aim ennemy, either you phase though it or get deflected at minimum 90 degres angle and your like "What the yeet just happened ?" Not to mention the fact we loose the charge when you aim void or just want to do a normal fist into the head of your ennemy
-
Improve the targeting and require a hold to cast the melee ability. It’s too easy to accidentally launch yourself when yours just trying to normal melee.
-
Only change I want is if you don't hit anything you get melee back but have cool down timer the movement of that melee is chef's kiss
-
9 RepliesEdited by Dubufu: 11/13/2020 10:00:09 PMFrom what I can tell, most of the tracking problems comes from the fact that the player is just using the ability and expecting instant results. This isn't your ordinary shoulder charge. It requires a little more effort. Here is how to use it properly: Hold the ability button, and only release it when you are near the target. If you don't do that, a severe lack of tracking occurs.
-
It works fine but it certainly difficult to control sometimes. At closer ranges is has issues but it's mapping technology is second to none.
-
2 RepliesTotally agree. In this clip: https://youtu.be/zHZPQwWQxZM I finish my Titan Stasis Super and try to Stasis Melee 2 Fallen on a platform. I angle down as much as possible until they are in my cross hairs, trigger my melee and launch almost perfectly horizontal to fall to my death. For the Titan, it's very quirky because if your too close to the target, it won't trigger and if your too far back, then it peters out just before you get to your target. And as soon as you launch it, if you miss the target, your lose your melee.

BUMP!
