They exist, Bungo simply decided to not add them cuz yeah. Blade dancer is basically spectral blades though.
-
They still exist, WE just choose not to use em

4 RepliesDoes seem odd that warlocks would give up completely on self rez i mean cmon you don't even need a ghost at that point
-
4 RepliesYou should know by now that ability/weapon lore is out the window. Just look at Hard Light. The lore for the gun states that it's "an infinite range zero drop-off projection weapon platform." Until Bungie nerfed it.

As some others have said already: It’s just game mechanics. All the supers in both games (except Stasis) already existed before, still exist now, and will continue to exist. Sunsinger and Bladedancer aren’t in D2 but still exist. Arcstrider and Sentinel Shield weren’t in D1 but have existed since long before. The game mechanics are huge limiters. We can do way more with the Light than the restricting rules of the game allow.

Edited by UNIT 242: 9/2/2020 11:23:50 AMWhat if when the red legion cut us off from the light, when the light returned the traveler only allowed some uses of its power to come back? Only thing I can think of.

Let’s start a petition. I made a warlock to use sunsinger, I was incredibly disappointed when I learned I would never have that chance since they removed it in d2
yes I could go back to do it once, but I don’t want to
2 RepliesThe lore is: Bungie could have reworked Sunsinger to work in D2 (and not as Luke Smith dictates "players not using their super." You know a lot of us still don't use our super... it's called "self imposed challenges"), but they chose instead to do the whole boring Dawn Blade thing. Seriously, it's boring. I never use it. And for Bladedancer it's, "we're going to need that for year 2. Better turn it into a Void class, and reuse it down the road."

10 RepliesEdited by AriesManuel: 8/30/2020 10:18:24 PMBasically the new supers are honed from what they were also d2 is an alternate timeline so there’s that

4 Replies<In lore we're capable of a lot more than what we've been shown in either game. Of course, the restrictions are there for gameplay purposes, just like the darkness zone mechanics in areas not related to the Dark, or the checkpoint systems put in place in response to such mechanics.>

D1 and D2 exist in separate universes.
-
We got new supers from the shard because it gave us different shit
-
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Classes and subclasses don’t make much sense from a Lore perspective.

2 RepliesI think they're just saying Sunsingers and Bladedancers are still around in lore, just not in game. Apparently both Arcstrider and Dawnblade were around during the Dark Age.
