I know, opinions vary that everyone has theirs about it. It's just how some express theirs about it that matters to some more than others and it could be positive or negative feedback.
I was looking at this game and the direction it has headed, some like it and some don't. IMO the game has everything it needs right in this companies hands to head it in a better direction. This is how I see the game and whether anyone agrees with this or not, it's just my opinion and this doesn't mean my opinion applies to everyone no does anyone else's. Feedback is important but how it's received and what direction the company wants to take the game is a battle between this company and the community, and I'm not just referring to this forum either.
The game has it's basics about it that are set up like the first game. The destinations/planets, strikes, raids, crucible/trials, nightfall, etc. But, things are not set up like the first game when it comes to the loot system, progression, reaching max level, skill tree, builds, etc. Again, this is just my opinion that those things are what needs the guidance that can improve things.
When I say guidance, I don't mean guidance from YouTubers, the community, management, the director, and especially not from the new member on the board. What I mean is the developers that have the experience that knows what actually worked for the game and what didn't. The developers meaning the ones that actually create the content for the game, not the people that just point their finger that is more is a problem than anything else at this point.
Personally I'm tired of hearing "we know we made a mistake and we will do better next time". Well, let's be honest here that next time has came many times and that same line has been used way too many times. Stop saying you will do better and actually do better. Bungie, listen to your developers, they're there for a reason, not just to work for you so you get paid. When I look at the work Chris Barrett did for the first game and some of the work he did for this one even though he may not be the best at it, but at least I felt things were heading in a better direction.

Get rid of the power level grind. It's extremely boring and pointless. Get rid of power level in general. Just use a normal leveling system, like Borderlands. Adopt a Borderlands type loot system. Specific bosses should be farmable without having to do the entire strike over and over. Bring back factions, and weekly random rolls for their inventory. Stop trying to make the game like WoW. Reduce the ridiculous amount of play time that is currently required for players to progress 3 characters. Infusion should work like it did in D1. Gear from every class should be able to be infused into gear from every class. Get rid of the bounty grind, or make bounties worth way more xp. The Season Pass grind is ridiculous. Get rid of quest steps that require PvP. Unless its any actual PvP related quest. Permanently separate PvE and PvP. Remove the nerfs to orbs of Light. Remove the nerfs to all super regenerating exotics. More collectables and exploration. Make strike specific loot guaranteed to drop with a skeleton key, and make it available in normal strikes. Get rid of Champions, and the mods associated with their mechanics. They're nothing but annoying bullet sponges. Get rid of seasonal mods that require us to use specific weapon types. Stop making content for the 1% elitists. Make it for everyone. Nobody wants to play a Grandmaster Nightfall. Remove timers from nightfall strikes. Bring back the Small Arms, and Specialist modifiers. Bring back Armsday. Stop making ugly armor. Bring back Ammo Synths already ffs. Have Ikora sell cool class items, like the Speaker did in D1. Get rid of sunsetting. We shouldn't have to re-farm for the gear we already have. Bring back Tier 12 armor builds. Lower ability cooldown times to what they were in D1. Make enjoyable story campaigns. Put the lore into the actual story campaigns, instead of making us read it. Bring back the fun.
