So I haven't played Destiny 2 since just before the release of Shadowkeep, and with the new expansion on the way I thought I'd get back in the game. Basically, this means I'm still only at ~830 power, so can't complete the contact event to open up umbral engram decryption. Which is fine; I don't mind grinding and coming back to it later. The only problem is that I've now got ten umbrals cluttering up my inventory that I can't do anything with, and I can't pick up any legendary engrams that drop. I heard that there was a fix coming for getting the umbral from the drifter as part of the questline, but I'm wondering if this will involve actually discarding them, which would fix my issue. Edit: If anyone else has this problem, I joined a random Contact event as suggested by thatguy33133. Couldn't do any damage to the enemies because my level was too low, but I hid and banked a couple of motes, got carried through by the rest of the team and was able to move on to the next part of the quest and get rid of my Umbral engrams.
