So I log into season 11 for the first time last night. Inspect my weapons...yup sure enough my favourite master worked last perdition(spo26-steady rounds-moving target-zen moment) is being sunset this season. Yay.
4 rounds of control later, as if to mock me, I have been bombarded with 4-5 last perdition drops. But...they seem to be all the same rolls that were dropping last season. I check light gg and guess what: NO NEW PERKS. NOTHING HAS CHANGED BUT THE MAX LIGHT NUMBER. WHY?
This is just piss poor. What was the point? I am giving up a god roll to grind the exact same god roll one season later.
I -blam!-ing told you this was going to happen Kelly green!

6 RepliesHere’s an option: Use cold denial instead. Sunsetting is there for people like you, who will use the EXACT SAME WEAPONS, FOREVER.

1 ReplyJian 7 Pulse Rifle is far Better than Last Perdition. get some variety.

That’s what I’m talking about. That’s why sunsetting is a bad idea.

Luke Smith said in an interview that they are going to hopefully put new perks and stuff on guns that are returning. Season 11 was already in the books. I'm expecting the world pool in Season 12 to have new perks on all the returning guns, which will be fine. But if guns come back with the same perks, then that defeats the purpose of sunsetting them to begin with.

Edited by Admatazz: 6/12/2020 2:30:54 AMBecause you for some strange reason think that’s a good weapon?
jk
But they changed the symbol in the corner of the weapon image right? That makes it a completely new weapon!

If you want some more salt to pour on the wounds, go visit Drifter and take note of what he has as a reward for resetting your Infamy twice... It's the exact same curated Bad Omen that was offered prior to the start of this season.. At least they could offered a different roll and called it the "new" version of Bad Omens.

You nailed it. The BDF have gone “dark” now that it’s become apparent that sunsetting was needed to reduce power creep. Simply a smoke screen to mask the lack of new Development as is evident once again with this latest Seasonal offering.

Because Bungie is rebooting the franchise by removing old things and putting in new stuff instead of making D3 a seperate game. This way you get to keep and use your old stuff in the current game instead of leaving everything behind for the new one. I don't know it's a double edged sword really. Sunsetting was and has always been an expected negative regardless of some individuals may feel or not feel about it.
