S10, so bad that even if S11 is mediocre the players base will praise bungie..

They will not fool me. IM TIRED of watching someone with all the answers, fail the test, multiple times.
We’re on Y10 of production, year 6 + of feedback and a sequel into this franchise and just look at the state of the game.
Most bugs present at one time. Slowest load times to date. 1 event cut and paste on 4 planets that consists of throwing a ball....
Trials gear...all cut and paste from D1, how does that look like your trying? No adept weapons? Trials literally returned in the same broken state you removed trails of the nine for being in.
The list really does go on....and on...and on, but I’m not gonna drag this post out anymore.
I won’t be purchasing S11 and I’ll be waiting a good few weeks after the next DLC before even thinking about buying. We all no the bugs, the recycled loot, the activities with no loot and all the problems show up around then.
Half baked, half arsed, 50% , “next season will be better” throwing balls, standing on plates and bounties isn’t cutting it anymore.

If so, then your purchase tells Bungie everything they need to know. Many ppl complain, most (the vast majority iyam) still buy that content though, repeatedly. Bungie is aware that seasons aren’t being represented well, but Bungie also knows that they could drop dog poo, literally, a big pile of dog doo as far as content, and most would still buy it. How do they know this? Continued purchases. Full transparency, I do not buy the seasons, some of the reasons why are in your post. So, I’m biased against them before they are even made. I gave the “free” Vex Offensive a chance and saw everything I needed to know about how content would be delivered then. Personally, I would have rather bought SK for $25, the season and its’ $10 cost removed. Edit: Grammar

Trafalgar_Lou you make some valid points and i agree that eververse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defences, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Even though this season was bad, Funny story: Remember that Centurion Oryx took right after you landed on the Dreadnaught, then the Centurion and the taken Ogre tried to stop you from killing the King? Heh... didn't work. So the Centurion's bond brothers are pretty angry they lost their commander. They're leading a team to blow up the Dreadnaught's core. Core goes... most of the system goes with it. You're going to make sure that doesn't happen.

If this is the new pace; 1 DLC per year followed by seasonal content that isnt that interesting, Destiny will become a 2, 3 months out of the year game.

Sure this season may be dry but season like this give the players a good break to grind for stuff they didn’t have the time for previously. Like I had time this season to finally sit down and get my reckoner title

1 ReplyIt goes both ways really. I won't buy anything until I see a huge improvement to core systems and loot. Lots will buy it just because they enjoy it or blind faith that bungie can deliver. I have zero faith they will so speak with my wallet and play time.

4 RepliesUnfortunately with the deluxe edition i've already paid in advance for the next season so can't even hold back and wait until it's launched to read reviews before buying. The next expansion will need to be more impressive for me to even consider pre-ordering, between Avengers and Cyberpunk it'll be a busy September, not forgetting Halo, Assassin's Creed, and Outriders which are all coming out at the end of the year too.

Hoping for Season 11 to be mediocre is very optimistic. We went from 3 studios developping expansions to just one, Bungie. Bungie who also happen to be developping another IP as we speak. So it's not even the whole of Bungie working on this expansion but just part of it. Add to that the Covid crisis and having to work from home, with all the pitfalls that entails, and I would be amazed if S11 even qualifies as mediocre. I'm okay with it. All I want is for Bungie to be honest about it. The current situation sucks, it's grand. Just don't hype the new season too much and lie to us. You can only do that so many times.

On the contrary I think if the next season is anything short of actually decent people are going to kick up a big stink about it. Like many times before, it's getting to the point where it's do or die for Bungie. Another mediocre season could hurt them really bad. As it is season of the worthy is the first content drop in Destiny history that I didn't actually buy. If it was like that for me, I imagine many others feel the same.

Both of these content drops had actual written apologies to the community from the management/bungie lead. And honestly I think CoS needs to move over for the new king of the shit pile. EV throttling was scummy sure and it was a very small world to say the least. But it added a world and weapons at the time that were used by players. The only thing this season can tout is that it did not have EV throttling. As every thing was broken and nothing worked on release [b]weeks![/b] not day or day afters. but for the entire weeks... some times longer this season. Not to mention this seasons weapon pool which were so bad dmg04 had to devote a reddit response to recognize yes they are indeed bad(or under-powered) when compared to the current pool of choices. If any one was new to the game bought a battle pass this season they burned that bridge down with style.

I don’t think they’ll get any praise for season 11 but the expansion always makes people forget all the carnage from the past year. The fall expansion is really the only time that Bungie really even attempts to right all the wrongs that has accumulated but we’ll see.

1 ReplyMy thoughts are most of the manpower was developing D3. Now that’s been scrapped and we will(I hope) get a banging fall expansion that was supposed to be a good bit of D3. Even season 11 should be good as the pyramids approach. I can’t see it getting any worse than it is now tbh.

1 ReplyI really wish they would just take their time making content instead of these small drops. Unlike some people I don't mind not playing the same game 24/7. I'm assuming seasons is more profitable for them. But I'm not sure how much longer that'll be the case. They gotta stop overworking themselves.

From what I've heard about s11 it's going to be engrams for previous seasons weapons. Bear in mind these all have a shelf life now so its definitely another throw away season as apart from exotic and lore it's all useless in couple of months or so.
