[b]Lucy[/b] [i]First off[/i], THEY ARE NOT CAT EARS! (its understandable but annoying) They are [b]horns[/b]. Legitimate bone (I know cause they showed a X-ray picture.) Believe me, it is part of the skull. [i]Second[/i], I just realized this girl had 3, not two names... Lucy and Nyu are her two split personalities... the actual person is [i]Kaede[/I] Third, the "Lied" in Elfen Lied is pronounced Lee-ed not Lyed. Its German for Elven Song. For, those of you who didn't know... [i]Anyways[/i], Kaede is the first Diclonius. A species from the Elfen Lied series that are an evolutionary offshoot of humanity (hence the bone horns). Diclonii have these things called "vectors". They are essentially invisible hands of DEATH. no one can see them, so it looks like she's just insta killing whatever comes into range. Once when she was little, uh, she found a puppy and took care of it. One bad show and tell later, she ends up with a murdered puppy, and the dead bodies of the three kids who did it. Oh and the room is bloody as heck. Things happen or something, more people die cause she's mad and stuff. Main point, she's been kept detained in this high security area, with a cool helmet too, and after killing almost every guy with a gun in there, she escapes by jumping into the stormy ocean... by that time she only has the helmet (which was shot in half) and I mean [i]ONLY[/i] the helmet. well okay, and some toilet paper, but lemme tell you, it doesn't do sh*t.[spoiler]pun intended [/spoiler]She washes up an amnesiac on the shore of some town. [actual spoiler] [spoiler]Coincidentally she is found by the same guy that she played with when she was little or some shiz. Also same guy whose family she killed...[/spoiler] So yeah, a guy and his friend take her in and care for her until her important scientist father with access to many guys with guns tries getting her back using other Diclonii... little warning, this anime's got some "exposure", but you can ignore that (if you want) cause its not important, and its not purposeful fan service. to be fair though, it is TV-MA I also didn't realize how it meant MA (I thought just blood and innuendos, or censors), but given that the Opening is how it is... I shoulda guessed... The opening song (Lilium) is great btw... Latin Opera sounds good. Anyways, yeah, it turned out swell. Im actually surprised how good the shading looks. Also like the tears... The hair was a tough one though.. took a while but eventually I got the pattern alright, shades aren't perfect but it still works. Yeah. Im proud of this one. It was a fun one.
