“This was once a weapon of restraint and elegance. The Hive really do defile everything they touch. Remove it from my sight.” — Ada-1
Intrinsic Perk — Dead Stringencies:
Arrows fired overpenetrate and hit up to two targets. Arrows will explode with Void energy if the first overpenetration is a final blow.
Legendary Trait — Dead Again:
Targets killed by this weapon explode with Void energy after a short delay. (Targets killed by Dead Again do not retrigger this perk)
Exotic Catalyst — Grave Plague:
Targets killed by Dead Again become traps that detonate when enemies are near, creating a Hive Wizard’s poison cloud that slows and disorientates.
Lore Tab:
“This was once a weapon of restraint and elegance. The Hive really do defile everything they touch. Remove it from my sight.” — Ada-1
Memory of a Ghost:
Russheim enters the crypts through the gaping hole of broken stone. The Hive wasted no time desecrating the nearby tombs, why would this be any different?
Her Ghost shines forwards, moving slow, cautious of the hidden corners within the catacombs. The faint crash and shriek can be heard through the earth. They’re not far below.
As they descend down the stone steps into the heart of the mausoleum, Russheim can feel the heat emanating through the corridors. Soulfire, murmuring, scampering; a rhythm of death she has grown so accustomed to.
There, across the bridges and shattered stones, she sees the wizard, acolytes, the motions of the Hive, of ritual. The words make her wince, she knows what they’re saying:
Partake in It/Her/TheLight, feed my Queen. Aiat aiat aiat—
Russheim can’t stand it. She takes aim...
Her Ghost scans the large stone coffin. Splinters of rock and bones litter the place.
“We’re too late.”
“Indeed we are.” Russheim sighs. She reaches out, running her fingers over the broken grave goods the wizard had purified:
A skull, a helmet, a scroll, a quiver—
“No, don’t!” Her Ghost bleats,
Too late.
Poison.
Death.
Rotting.
Darkness.
EDIT:
Reworked the perks not to attach corpses to the arrows because if would look weird if a 10ft ogre was flying through the air. Also most enemies that die disappear except bosses.
Trying to avoid making it have too similar chain capabilities to Trinity Ghoul or Graviton Lance.
The exotic catalyst of poison cloud should be less like Le Monarque and more like the hive wizard clouds.
Changed the name too, but if anyone has a better suggestion for it though I’m happy to hear it.

Since this bow is mostly Void explosions and Wizard abilities. The name "Savathûn's bane" hit me. Either that or Throne World. I think for whenever Bungie decides to release an expansion about Savathûn or anything else that involves hive, this bow would be perfect! Should be raid required though. This is too good for a quest only weapon.

2 RepliesEdited by RAUDRULF: 5/6/2020 9:29:34 AMChain kills spawn friendly thrall. Friendly thrall will follow you around like Dobby the elf. Friendly thrall will pick destination materials for you. Friendly thrall will mate with other thrall for no reason. Friendly thrall will evolve into a mini ogre when you complete the catalyst. You can have an army of mini ogres at your command. Mini ogres are not friendly and will f*ck your shit up. Mini ogres are immune to anthaeus wards. Mini ogre farts can be used to CHEESE riven.

17 RepliesPls no, no more bows. Such a failed weapon type. I liked Forsaken but bows were a failure.

1 ReplyDefiler? I barely even know’er!

Great bow, now we have cabal machine gun, and creative hive bow. can we have fallen arc lightsaber or scorn fire hammer for next?
-
Absolutely awesome, but only as a heavy, too much going for it imo, great idea though 👍

Kills Chance to summons 2 wizard

Each arrowhead tip should look like a penis.

"The dolphin "🐬

Edited by ExoBunnyGirl: 5/3/2020 5:51:43 PMI like your idea but personally I think this could work best as a heavy maybe due to the cloud affect. Also Id love to see a long bow covered in hive bones and growth (like little yellow egg things) and torn strands of cloth hanging off of it. A smoking effect could be cool like slow moving black smog. Your lore's nice to read aswell I enjoy making my own but Im interested in if you used an existing planet (in game) or an unused one. Great idea keep designing friend. edit: thought of a new name if you like it inspired by lore : Ceremonial sacrilege or Heretical desecration

Edited by AlieN_x_HuMaN: 5/3/2020 10:29:26 AMI cant be the only one who's mind goes right into the gutter with The Defiler.... PS, whenever this drops I demand that Sylock scream THE DEFILER!!

Lots of people in the forums say that people with ideas dont exist and that bungie has run out of ideas and stuff so they want to avoid power creep and yet here we have a post of some random stranger making a seriously cool idea and putting it out there in hopes of it coming to the game. Keep on making these cool ideas, I love to see what stuff people come out with. I hope bungie bothers to look at the forums and gets these ideas to implement them into the game, they have no excuse to say they have run out of ideas when they have such a dedicated community to back them up.

Guess Sylok was shot by this.

I'd make it solar instead of void as of current there isn't a solar exotic bow we have 2 void 1 arc 1 kinetic maybe still keep the smoke bombs as void though having 2 elements would be cool to use.

Nice concept

People on the street making better weapons than Bungie......

Sylok, that you?

Dead again... Dark Souls?

Sounds neat. I think the perk should probably be a little easier to understand.
Intrinsic Perk — Dead Stringencies: Arrows fired overpenetrate and hit up to two targets. Arrows will explode with Void energy if the first overpenetration is a final blow.
Arrows overpenetrate targets, penetration kills create a void explosion.
Legendary Trait — Dead Again: Targets killed by this weapon explode with Void energy after a short delay. (Targets killed by Dead Again do not retrigger this perk)
After a target explodes, it explodes again after a short delay.
Exotic Catalyst — Grave Plague: Targets killed by Dead Again become traps that detonate when enemies are near, creating a Hive Wizard’s poison cloud that slows and disorientates.
Targrts killed by explosions creat disorientating clouds for a short time. As far as perks are concerned, super creative. I think I would actually use this bow at some point just for its novelty. The only thing I'd change is make sure that the disorent that the bow does is around the same size as a hunter disoreint and not wizard (should still look like a wizard one though).

1 ReplySYLOK THE DEFILED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *ears bleed*

1 ReplyHow about instead of an explosion, you make it an AoE of Void Fire that temporarily blinds opponents.
-
2 RepliesI feel like there is room for arc here since there are already cursed thrall. So like a bow necrochasm? But with wizard poison ig
-
Not a fan of bows in this game at all but this actually sounds really cool. Seeing as the pinning enemies thing might not fit this game so much maybe it could create like a hive wizard suppression field or something similar to a smoke bomb? Weakens targets or something and killing affected targets causes a void explosion? I dunno your original idea is super cool I just don't see it with the physics in this game.

2 RepliesThe legendary perk sounds a bit like this one exotic pulse rifle I really can't remember the name right now... But the catalyst perk would be fun. Makes it easier to manage a crowd while still using the bow.
-
3 RepliesSo make graviton lance a bow.
