Last year they did it, and they started doing it again. That's right........
It's Liquid Cow Manure Time.
Tanker truck, after tanker truck, rumble down my road, spilling and dripping the liquid cow poop all over the place. Me and my challenger do not enjoy this makeshift slalom course, because if you miss, yaaay, cow dung on my car.
Well at least the road there depositing the cow feces from is fixed, so there not doing this operation from my road with a mile long hose. Another good thing is the smell is faint due to the cold weather, unlike last year, where it was hot and pungent.
Hopefully the wind doesn't pick up and blow this way.
Time to eat, mmmmmm tacos.

I was wrong. *cough, cough* They're spreading it right across the road, and the wind is blowing the aroma right at my house. *cough, cough* It's one thing for farmers to spread their own manure on the land that they work, but for these big farms to spray the whole damn field with what looks to be a 6 inch layer of cow crap, and have nothing to do with the land til next year. *cough, cough* Yet, I'll choose the country lifestyle over city living anytime. Just not country music.

3 RepliesThere are Amish around here that do the same thing. I hate it when the wind goes off course. The worst of it with one local one is, they have no concern about dragging the mud and gunk from their barnyard out over the road. The police should make them clean it off the road. The one good thing is, it isn't pig, and they were forced to stop using and emptying outhouses several years ago. Pig is 5 times worse, and human is just revolting.

Day 2 and the trucks are still rumbling past.
