Imagine if they all had to play "fair" matches where they had (about) a 50/50 chance of winning or losing...
Let's do the math...
[i][b](0.5)^7 = 0.78 PERCENT[/b][/i] chance of going flawless (yeah, maybe the odds are [i]slightly[/i] better with the mercy/ferocity card). They would have to play a hundred cards a weekend to have a reasonable hope for a flawless, on one character.
Their big "look at me and how skilled I am mode" is only possible because they get to stomp lower skill players in this casual game. And Bungie is either so batshit insane or clueless or both that they basically told those lower skill players to -blam!- off.
I knew it was going to be a shitshow but even I didn't think it would implode this quickly... lmao...

You can make bounties/random drops so everyone can be rewarded for playing.

It is there? The issue is that going flawless is not rewarding for this top players, because of this "everyone rewarded". I mean, I also dont like it, that they just reset after 3 wins and go on, but its the nature of humanity, if they can take advantage for themselves they will. The players who got destroyed? I dont think that they care about them. IMO Bungie need to rework MM, maybe someone who were flawless is matched against flawless next week and so on. But there is the issue of "acc sharing" and "carry", which as I know isnt punished by Bungie. I think it`s really needs to change.

Even tho trials was originally made with skilled players in mind. Now everything that’s exclusive about going flawless is gone... no guns or armour that only drops from that chest, not even an interesting lighthouse to explore, its -blam!-ing mind numbing being there. The matchmaking is about as fair as it could possibly be for a game mode called trials. I’m actually disappointed in people’s reason for hating trials. The entire game has been dumbed down and simplified for casuals..... hell people even -blam!-ing complained about a free loot button being to time consuming last season like the lack of effort people are willing to put into an investment game is so confusing to me. If you want a mind numbingly simple game mobile has plenty of options that even include auto play features so you don’t even have to go through the effort of playing the bloody game..... I remember when a complaint about server tick rate came up once, when people wanted story content to be better implemented, when having a balanced crucible was on a lot of people’s minds. Every -blam!-ing aspect of this game has been watered down... not a single -blam!-ing thing is left for anyone willing to play more then an hour a week on a single character anymore. I don’t blame the casuals as it’s bungies doing. But I am embarrassed that this is what the gaming community has devolved into.

You can whine however much you like about the complaining about trials but the game mode is NOT healthy right now. And a big part of the problem is that it's sooooooo important to the no-lifers to deny loot to average players. So you can either fix it or watch it burn. Leaving it as it is is not sustainable.

If you’re on the side of loot for everyone. Explain to me why you feel that’s a positive for the game? As it stands we have nothing to strive for and I think we can both agree that’s an issue for both sides of the community. Hardcore players have nothing that feels worth the effort and casuals.... well from what I can see they haven’t yet realized how hollow endgame is yet since they haven’t had the time

Your first sentence goes with my argument.... no one wants to play for no reason. We have no reason to push through the bull when we can half ass it and get the same rewards. I do believe no one likes being beaten more then people used too. You can’t win every match regardless of who you are and it feels like a large amount of people don’t realize that.

The mode will then turn into an actual tournament of the BEST (who it’s meant for) players. Sweats will flock to it and streams will be fun to watch since they won’t just be stomping bad players... As long as they ramp up the rewards it’ll be just fine without you whiny casuals...

Trials will never die because casuals always want the rewards. And after owning a couple of dregs in patrols they always think they are up for PvP 🤷♂️

Being stomped, facing laggind oponents from U.S.A, China, Pakistan or other far away place, facing DDoSers and cheaters that Bungie NEVER does anything against... Three weeks was all it took for the gamemode to be put in life support.

Sorry but you are wrong. The engagement is dropping and it's only been 3 weeks. This upcoming week is gonna be worse. I like it but if something doesn't change the mode will die. I should have my title before then. The Lighthouse doesn't need to be for everyone but 5 to 7 wins should be possible for more than it is.
