Trials : A serious Disappointment .
So let me get this straight . Trials Is brought back , with no meaningful new loot or even reskins , just a new announcer ( I do appreciate that ) and a new passage system ?
This is what us PVP players waited 1+ years for ? The same guns in d1 , BUT WORSE , not having a single additive trait or ability over regular non flawless drops ? Armor that has a cute little chroma of an Osiris eye on it ? Not even a meaningful ornament ? Or even new armor ?
To make matters worse you guys clowned those that went flawless and did it again with the passage that rewards extra loot with just another random unspecial drop , for having gone flawless without mercy ?
Here I was thinking I would be grinding my power heavily this weekend in order to be a part of the game mode I loved to play all the time and defined my experience in d1.
You guys literally put the FREE in F2P in this game mode . I definitely wouldn't have paid for this objectively worse reinstatement of a once staple game mode . Guess I won't need to rush my grinding in destiny this weekend , or at all for that matter , so I guess thanks for that 👍

1 ReplyI dunno I liked my experience with it overall lol it's also the only grindable PvP activity that actually rewards decently material wise, I've gotten around 8 prisms and 2 ascendant shards so far with two flawlesses taking around 40ish minutes to do.

I haven’t jumped into a trials match because the game’s loot hasn’t been rewarding for a long time. Once they removed pinnacle weapons, the game has felt like a waste of time.

3 RepliesI'm genuinely confused. I'm not here to bash Bungie either (although I did provide a lot of criticism as of lately). I'm just wondering as, in my head at least, the way I interpreted the announcement of Trials coming back... I sorta always expected that it would be the same old guns, with the same old armor. Heck I was even expecting the same old announcer and the same old card system. In my head, I thought people wanted Trials back, exactly the way it was before (although I admit, having new weapons and armor would've been cool), but it sorta didn't surprise me in the least that they brought back some of the old weapons and armors. I'm not saying things shouldn't be different or that they shouldn't have been implemented in a different way. I just didn't know that it was expected to be a new thing somehow.

Yeah. I’m letdown by how the loot is handled. Once again another fail. Trials will be dead in 5 weeks only because the gear is locked and you can only get 1 piece per week. We all now know why Trials is F2P. If we’d of had to pay for this garbage game design the forum would burn even brighter than its burning now.
