I get it, in this day and age a drip feed system gets you the best numbers, but what it also does is ruin the game for the players that have been with you from the start. The current system of content with the season passes is not a system that should be in the game. Yes, I understand it allows people to pay for only what they want instead of putting in a larger investment for content that is at that point in time only promised, but the end result is something that isnt repeatable. Shadowkeep was a step in the right direction with content. When paired with season of the undying you got more than what you payed for in, but it also took many steps back by also removing some of that content. All that it seems is that the direction the game is going is to have the player base play something that will last them just long enough for the next small content drop to happen, just to switch it out for nearly the same thing. The "battle pass" system, is great imo. Aside from lackluster rewards for players who have hundreds of hours in the game, it brought in a new element to grind. Same with the artifact. It allowed players to reach new levels granted they played the game. A reward for playtime. Now, I have barley touched this season. Last season i maxed out at lvl 100, and this season i dont think ill even hit 50. This is because personally i dont have a reason to play the game. I already got good enough armour, because well, no point to grind for stuff when the season mods dont transfer. Ill stick with what i have. Titles arnt something really worth grinding for. They offer no in game reward other than a title (which people pay for now). Pvp has stayed the same since forsaken launched, with the same metas and same boring game play. Even comp isnt a challenge anymore (it shouldnt take me less than a day to reach 2100). Now, i know i dont speak for the community, but regardless, i ask for this. Spend more time on content. Go back to the larger dlc system, even if that means more drought time. (yall could even port over stuff from d1 if needed). This way players will have something to actually drag them back into the game rather than being a drag in the game. Im not asking for another forsaken or ttk, but from someone that has spent nearly 1k hours just in d2 alone, like many other players with the franchise as a whole, the least we deserve is content that is what is expected of a title such as destiny.
