Luckily the weapon isn't used that much inside the Crucible. However when it happens, this is a problem.
I've been running into Erianas thinking "oh, the enemy got their primary out, i can push." Then suddenly all my health just vanishes and if im lucky i can escape.
I tested if this was a exotic thing. Both Telesto and Fighting Lion has a "shine" to them when used.
So if there is going to be "shines" on special weapons to let the enemy notice u have a powerful gun pulled out this should be applied to Erianas aswell. Consistency is key here.

Glint? Nah. It's a 2 tap weapon. Not even really stronger than a bow, and bows don't have glint. Then again, you can't hard scope a bow forever unless you're a Hunter willing to use your exotic slot for it. But should THAT have glint? Aww hell, ya'll decide. Choices are hard. 😂

Scope glint is an unrealistic crutch mechanic that should only be present when firing into a light source. Modern sniper scopes use honey combing to defeat lens flares while aiming -- why can't Destiny 2 implement this as a sniper weapon perk, masterwork, or mod type?
-
My guy the gun is literally on fire, how does it not resemble a Lord of Wolves to you?
-
Mainly for pve utility and specific pvp builds.

Lights are applied to the special weapons, not the primaries that use special ammo. Fighting lion in that regard shouldn't have a light, but it does. Because it's a GL

1 ReplyIdk This thing feels weaker than regular hand cannon. I just don’t use that crap.
-
5 Repliesnot to mention the eriana quick access sling bow glitch that you can do that has a .11 ttk
-
2 RepliesIt’s called a bow
-
3 RepliesI thought it was supposed to set enemies on fire or something.. to me, it's boring
-
1 ReplyFlaw in the logic here. Fighting Lion isn't a special weapon and has the shine? It's because Fighting Lion is a grenade launcher and thy gave it the shine as to be lazy and not have to program it seperate without. Probably why Eriana's Vow doesn't have it, it's a hand cannon. They didn't want to do the programming to make it have it while not putting it on all other hand cannons.
-
yeah, it should have the sniper gleam.

2 RepliesI've never found it to be an issue. I know exactly what gun it is as soon as it hits me. Since it doesn't OHK I don't think a glare is particularly needed, especially considering how mediocre the gun is anyway.
-
2 RepliesI think shines shouldn’t be a thing.
-
Nah. Not worth it
-
Oh yeah I never thought about that. That's a really good idea
-
"shine" is present in the original concept of power weapons. Color of shine let's you know what type of power/special weapon it is from afar or in a dark space. Eriana's vow is an exception, my guess is b/c its a handcannon. That weapon type has never been given a color. I don't mind it having this stealth advantage, it makes it more unique, but that's just me.

2 RepliesThe "shine" is a scope reflection on special weapons and power weapons when you ads. Kinda have a point it does use special ammo. On the other hand it can't one shot you. It's in a weird in-between place.
