Can we get a Cabal themed expansion? (For real this time)
I swear I've been hoping for a Cabal expansions for 5 years and they first time we ever get one (Red war) they have to share it with every other enemy race and NPC this side of Saturn!
We dealt waaaaay too much damage to the Cabal during the Red war story wise in my opinion, like we didn't just kill the red legions leader we essentially took down their stand in Emperor. The first offensive move the Cabal pull on us and we completely humilite them beyond repair? C'mon man the Cabal deserve better then that!
I always used to love the big guys because how their lore was so different from the other enemy races. Where the fallen were untrustworthy pirates and the hive masochistic genocide monster, the Cabal were absolutely dedicated to war on a freaking Warhammer 40k level, everything was tactical to them and it created this brotherhood feeling when the taken King came out and we got the backstory on the bond brothers. Like come on! Who didn't feel bad for the sky burners when they read the card that lead to their assault of the dreadnought? The Primus telling the bond brothers what his plan is and the brothers fighting to convince him otherwise? That was awesome
Now the Cabal are big dumb space rhinos who can't even hold Nessus for longer then a week. Ghual had a lot of potential and I feel like all that was completely lost when they introduced Calus, now everyone only cares about the loyalist Cabal who are so disconnected from what they originally were written as that It's just sad.
I like Calus, he's funny to me and I like the potential of a Cabal/human alliance but... He's not a "true" Cabal. The true Cabal are the sand eaters, the siege dancers, the blind legion, the sky burners etc. Those guys are the real Cabal I grew to love, and those are the Cabal I hope will return someday.
But that's enough from me, tell me what you guys think? I'm sure not many people ever cared for the Cabal to begin with so I'm not expecting much positivity but what the hell, might as well give it a shot

I'd rather get an expansion that finishes the dreaming city and uldren sov story. Also wouldn't mind a concordat season since they hinted at it in rise of iron and Y1 D2. A red Jack season would also be cool, I would love to see arcite and dahlia in action.

4 RepliesPersonally, I am not a huge fan of the cabal. I find the race so simplistic. Most of the things I liked the most about Season of Opulance were the things connected to the Hive. Would love another Fallen expansion tho.

1 ReplyThey should add back in the old cabal designs. They felt more alien. The Cabal still are a major threat. Ghaul might be dead, but their ENTIRE empire is still out there, and Calus likes the Darkness, so more war with the Cabal might be soon

I wish calus’s loyalists weren’t the traditional psions and wherever legionaries are, but random races from throughout the galaxy he had recruited. War beasts are fine staying with him, but I think the main force should be non-traditional cabal.

What about a DLC that opens up a Patrol area within an abandoned part of the City and we are trying to clear out remnants of the Red Legion who went unnoticed and are attempting to build a bomb of sorts to take out the City once and for all.

1 ReplyI would like it too. However. Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

I also really liked the Cabal in D1. I'm ready for my boys the highly trained death machine Cabal to make a return.

At this point I hate the cabal personally. Atleast Calus and the Leviathan. Technically we just recently got another Cabal themed dlc with Menagerie. I'd much rather finish the vex invasions and see what Bungie plans to follow-up with. (We've been doing a lot of races lately and everything seems kinda balanced imo)
