Bring back Rift?
Did anybody else love that game mode or was it just me? I miss the D1 crucible system when you picked the game mode you wanted to play instead of having playlists that randomize game modes. Rift was awesome. It has a dynamic sense of team play, was fast paced, and there was just something satisfying about watching your guardian backflip-dunk the spark. I miss the game mode #WeWantRiftBack

I liked Rift, but then I also Liked IB back in the Day.... afraid if they brought back Rift it would be ruined just like everything else. Let it go and keep the good memories.

Rift was mine and a lot of my friends favorite modes to play. Also wish they brought back sparrow league racing! Had a great time doing that too. It was a good way to break up the monotony!

Rift was a fun game mode. I think Bungie should bring it back and look into other game modes for PvP that could offer different gameplay...like sparrow racing?

Unfortunately, I don’t see Rift ever coming to D2. Bungo seems to be centering their content releases on making sure content creator engagement is high and the general sentiment from this is that they hated it. Simply put, Bungle isn’t gonna invest time and effort into a game mode they know won’t spawn hours of players streaming as well as numerous video uploads.

I remember rift was the go to game mode for content creators to do 50+ kill games. Because everyone else is concentrating on the objective and they are out to farm easy kills.

I want an American Football (handegg) style PvP mode where we run Arc Charges in for a "touchdown" on the enemy teams' "goal".

Rift was definitely fun to play from time to time. Destiny2 is serious 4vs4 on small maps now. This is Major league gaming at its best. No fun factor allowed. LOL

16 RepliesWith how small these maps are Rift is a terrible idea. It turns into spawn trap. The nostalgia is strong in all of you, But Rift was awful, no one ever played it. When Rift was IB it was awful. There’s a reason Rift didn’t make it to D2. [spoiler]it sucks[/spoiler]

Where both players don't use their loadout but a First-Curse handcannon with only a single round in the clip. The mode would have rounds and each round would be the first player to 3 kills wins, best 3 out of 5 rounds wins the match. All powers disabled, spawn with no sheild which doesn't regenerate and melee kills subtract from your enemies score in that round.
