... rather than seeing more superficial"shiny glass pearls" to keep the PvE-Derps all hyped up. PvP is the cheapest and most efficient way to keep your game alive during dry seasons. It happened in Destiny 1 and it could also happen in Destiny 2. PvP so setting up DEDICATED SERVERS is one of the key elements to keep PvP in a good place. Lag is almost unbearable these days, especially with the low player population and a matchmaking that creates plenty of lag.

1 ReplySomeone knows how to tag cozmo or dmg to read this? they're ignoring this post, like they do with every useful post.

6 RepliesPvP is by an enormous margin the worst part of this game. Crucible is the worst experience in all of gaming
-
Bump, this post needs to be on the first page for a long time.

I think Bungie just filed that one next to the bow that shoots rainbows and the quiver that dispenses beer.

1 ReplyEdited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/4/2019 3:36:14 PMI would like to see the Season of the Stories. This drip feed activity release with barely any story or NPC interaction thing is killing the series for me. I want to run around in the universe in an open world and experience things with random guardians. Not jump into some arbitrarily timed activity with convoluted mechanics with a few people for a chance at a gun I’m not even going to use. I don’t want to fight other guardians either. I wish they cared as much about the story and universe as they did imposing challenge and trying to get guardians to battle each other.

1 ReplyDestiny uses a hybrid system that uses dedicated servers. It creates a smoother connection to the game world. D1’s matchmaking was to blame not the servers. In D2 I have little to no connection issues.
-
Ahh man the joys that would bring . I would most def fire up d2 again. Ffs I would gladly pay a monthly fee to have dedicated servers in gambit and crucible.
-
I vote for the season of the casual, which, I freely admit, I am.

Edited by Northstar: 3/4/2019 4:38:47 PMAgree with dedicated server, I tired of pulling out my shotgun at 10 m distance then suddenly the titan teleported behind me and I died. The kill feed showed that I died to shoulder charge.

I mostly play ranked in any game I play because I like to compete, even though the experience can be aggravating. My breaking point is know that there are people who manipulate network connections for unfair gains. Peer to peer connection and competitive games types don't mix.
-
Because maybe the next big IP Bungie is working on isn’t Destiny. But the game Destiny should have been. Paid Content + Subscription. Works wonders for WoW...Tell me you’ll still be talking about Destiny in 2029...doubt it...even then WoW would still be trucking along and Blizzard would still be counting money. Those lies about the “Ten year plan”...

I like to see that be a raid! Kind of like WoTM!

1 ReplyYou need actual players for a dedicated server
-
11 RepliesAnyone have any idea how much that would cost?? As much as I agree with you, the financial outlay wouldn’t be worth it, unless they were serious about D3 having any form of competitive pvp.
-
22 RepliesI honestly have no clue what people like you are talking about. I have literally never had a problem with lag on my end, and I rarely see people lagging in game. Maybe you just need a better connection.
-
2 RepliesSo, you are ok with the "Season of paying a monthly 15$ to keep up the servers" too, right?
-

3 RepliesIt would be great if we could have both P2P and dedicated. Dedicated as primary and P2P as backup. So if D2 ever goes offline people could still play the entire game.

-
1 Replythat cost money who will pay for it you cry baby destiny 1 fan bots won't pay for it
-
1 ReplySeason of Communication would be fantastic as well
-
Minimum viable product. Remember that.

People have been asking for this since the first week of Destiny 1. If you want dedicated servers you're going to have to play another game. Keep in mind I'm not saying you're wrong that dedicated servers would help and be great, it's just not going to happen no matter how many people and how many times you all complain or something would have already been done or at least addressed over the years.
The one time they did address it, they merely doubled down on claiming their 'hybrid' servers were better than dedicated servers, which is obviously a colossal lie.
Its been 5 years yeet.

When ever i see a pvp keeps the game alive post i wanna trow up bad! Its just lazy keeping the game alive with pvp. Pvp sucks in many ways! We are suposed to be powerfull gurdians, and not playing arround with nerfguns and non fuction supers thanks to the nerfs. I rather taking a break over playing many hours of useless pvp, and rather give bungie the time they need to make good pve content where i can have fun a few days. Really non game is meant to be played 24/7 not even wow our diablo could do that.

Unlikely that'll happen in the foreseeable future what with the Bungie/Activision split.
