Also started playing about a month ago. My guardian has always looked like a trash can since I started playing. At no point have I been able to wear an armor set I like because I just have to wear whatever drops high. When I have to wear a specific armor set for a quest or triumph, I go into it with under-leveled gear, not infused, because of the core costs. Long time players do the same thing though. I'm always strapped of cores except for now thank to the Dawning I have like 50 cores. I don't use them because with each powerful drop I'd have to re-infuse again. I find this only acceptable as a temporary thing until I have reached the max light level but I'll never be at max light level for a long period because Bungie keeps moving the goal post ie max level. If cores were easier to obtain, we could wear the gear we actually like. As it is cores are by far the rarest commodity in the game.
