A lot of people will quit the crucible because you have all these jerks crying nova warps because warlocks are finally viable again.
You have blade barrage with shards of galanor that literally gives you super every damn time.
You have the one eyed mask
You have your dodge
you have aim assist.
What do warlocks have?? A useless rift that everyone dies while in it to a rocket or blade barrage?
A chaos reach that is static and does not even work in pvp? Nova warp is weak for boss dps and average in pve, the only use is in pvp. If Bungie nerfs nova warp, i will be very upset as will a lot of other warlocks.
This super has ways of being countered. Find it and stop whining.
EDIT: Lay off the salt boys. It's bad for your health. Geez. LOL

Honestly as many times as I've been shutdown out if Nova warp by team fire, yeah, it's powerful but you Can be shut down, unlike the Panic supers, especially Blade barrage
-
you have more super kills than anything else, of course you don't want it nerfed. https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/psn/cdibie/detailed/2305843009345516012

1 ReplyI main a Warlock and I do have to admitt that it does feel dirty using Novawarp in pvp, it's tanky as hell, but......... so much fun to use and even more fun when you see everyone run for the hills when it's activated, I say leave it as it is and bring everything else up to par.
-
Name the counters then. Blade Barrage is the only counter. You can't deny it is op. Just like stormtrace was when it was first out, or hammers. They all got nerfed. Once Bungie have a look at the stats, it will be glaringly obvious that nova warp is performing a little stronger than intended, and it will be adjusted.

Quit your crying little girl

I'm afraid it's gonna happen. They did it to the original stormcaller. That thing was brutal in PvP when it first came out.

Edited by OriginalMrDave: 11/27/2018 9:46:44 AMThere’s a big difference between viability and being too strong. I don’t think nova warp is too strong by far, but it is the best super in the game at the moment. For example I saw a video the other day that at max speed, nova warp can cover approx twice the distance across a map compared to spectral blades also travelling as fast as it can. Then if you compare the damage radius to other roaming supers it’s stronger that way too, with hammers or golden gun you have to aim rather than just be in proximity. However I’d be fine with that if they were slowed down/less mobile. I by no means think it needs a wholesale nerf but it needs tweaking in one of either movement speed, OHK radius or damage resistance.
-
The fact that you can pop super and team wipe twice in comp is kinda.. nuts. I'm fine with everything about nova warp but 2 things. The verticality of it. Theres no reason a roaming super should be able to shut you down if you're as high as possible in air. Damage sure. It shouldn't be able to creep around corners. I mean.. that doesnt need explaining.
-
Seriously. Despite how strong it is, I have been shut down mid-nova warp every now and then, sometimes so fast I can't even react in time. If people just actually think about it, beating it isn't as hard as it sounds, they're just usually in the wrong place at the wrong time.
-
All that will happen is that people will just go back to nova bomb or dawnblade. I hope they don't nerf because I don't agree with nerfs due to pvp.

1 ReplyIt's too beefy and long...

2 RepliesNova warp is miles ahead of every other super in the game. Its tree has some amazing abilities. After using it in some comp yesterday, at my friends house (we took turns playing, I didn't do a recov for him or anything), I found myself consistently getting my super way before anyone else in the match. This is because of the dark matter perk stuff. The melee is just ridiculous, extra range, damage, and the ability to one shot if you hit someone into a wall or off the map. The handheld supernova is crazy as well, but is sort of inconsistent. Sometimes it would hit people a mile away and other times it wouldn't hit them at all. The actual super is flat out crazy. Last for a really long time, regular blink plus dark blink lets you chase down people super easily, and it kills through cover. It may be fun, but it is a bit ridiculous. I felt sort of wrong for using it. I think it needs some changes. At least make it so it doesn't kill through cover. Hopefully, they buff nova bomb though, it is super weak compared to things like blade barrage.
if nova warp gets nerfed
...no one will care as Warlocks are crap.

Nova warp really needs a nerf. Its as broken as -blam!-.

5 RepliesAttunement of Fission is too good right now, it’s far above any other subclass block. Starting off, you have access to one of the best jumps in the game, Blink. Blink is great for closing gaps and cover quickly while taking as little damage as possible. Next, you get the option of two Grenades at the same time. You get your variety of great standard grenades and an instagib shotgun blast that can delete people trying to close a gap. After that, one of the highest damaging melee attacks in the game. Hitting someone with this will often disorient them because of the unexpected motion and the insane damage will leave them vulnerable to just a fart in the wind. Finally, we get to the Super, and hoo boy is it a doozy. Nova Warp is no contest the best roaming Super in the game, nothing even comes close right now. The Super has a massive AoE which goes through cover. The charge time to make that AoE is not a drawback to talk about because you can do it on the move and takes a second or less to charge. You get high damage resist and healing on kill. The attacks of the Super cost no energy to your Super time to use, only using the movement part costs any energy, meaning if you can just move towards dudes, you’ll get a full 20+ seconds of the best Super. Unlike Fist of Havoc, the most comparable Super to it, you are never ever locked into an animation, your opponent can never gain ground while you’re chasing them. You can try to team shoot a Nova Warp, but if they get even one kill while you’re doing it, it’s over, their health is back and you’re down a gun. Am I calling for a Nova Warp nerf? No. Am I saying it’s far and above the best Crucible class currently? Absolutely. It’s literally the whole reason I run Blade Barrage right now, to get rid of it, and even that can be inconsistent. If it gets any tuning done to it, I wouldn’t be surprised at all.

Cry more, love me some juicy tears

Wait. I want you to think about that rift thing for a second. A rocket or blade barrage can kill you in it? I'd hope so. If you got enough of an oversheild to tank a rocket or super that'd be ridiculous. And warlocks finally being viable? Have you used any of the vanilla supers for warlock? Sure there obsolete compared to nova warp, but that's kinda the point. Nova warp is simply the best pvp subclass hands down. Wanna know why there are so many blade barrage hunters? Nova warp. You wanna know how I consistantly get my whole super back with shards? Chewing through all the health of a single nova warp. Nova warp is simply the best super for pvp and should receive some balancing.

Nova warp gets hit registration through walls. That definately needs to be fixed. I'd like to see the duration or move speed dropped a bit as well, but not both.

What people have trouble understanding is. Crucible will never be in a good spot it has never been in a good spot. Nerf crying is not helping the cause.
