Warlock armor looks terrible
From robes to machine helmets they are all dumb looking. I wish warlocks had a more sinister look. Instead we get half assed warlock helmets that looks like the rest could be hidden by a hunters cape. And boring dresses. I don’t want to look like a machine either. Warlocks dabble in dark arts such as sorcery. So why are they the farthest thing from looking as such.

1 Replymost of the armors pretty bad to be perfectly honest. there are some good ones but its nothing compared to the crota, vault of glass, and kings fall gear.

The fitted robes tend to look better than the really baggy and formless ones. I'm not really a fan of the random shapes that Bungie tend to throw on the arms...like why is there always a random geometric shape around the wrist/forearm? Another issue I have is that the robes tend to look pretty awful with most of the shaders. That being said, my Warlock looks pretty good right now. Edit: And don't even get me started on the bonds. They look so terrible. Can we get something else? Or at least something that doesn't randomly stick off my arm? Like don't wizards typically have amulets or something?

I say the Prodigal, Tangled Web, and the Festival of the Lost (excluding the FotL helmet) are the best looking Warlock sets in the game, better than even the Raid and Trials gear.

Only reason I switched to Hunter, in D1, the style variety was perfect.

Practical, and scrapped together with pouches and whatever else because at the end of the day we are soldiers of humanity scavenging our solar system to survive. Even warlocks which are affectionately referred to as combat wizards. Now we have armor that pretty well avoids those things and it just looks out of place. Which i should say it isn't necessarily bad to lean harder into that clean impractical aesthetic but to have it dominate breaks the overall theme of the game to me.

1 ReplyThe armor in D2 looks pretty awful in general. It bugs me that there are so many pieces that have parts that won't take shaders so you can't even try to make them look a little better that way.

Vex looking stuff from the vault, hive looking stuff from crota (kings fall stuff was kinda ugly) and lets not forget the real cool stargate egyptian themed gear from trials. cmon man! I'm glad they got away from those ugly star wars droid looking helmets they had at D1 launch. Now, i agree, our armor should look more mage like since we are supposed to be space mages. I'm also tired of these generic looking dresses they keep putting us in. Please, pay some fantasy artists and get them on the design team.

Only armor pieces in this game I really like are the Focusing Set with Ornaments(Y1 Trials Flawless Armor), and the Optimacy Set. I kind of like the Great Hunt robe top from the Last Wish raid, and the new Iron Banner chestplate but the rest of the armor is very meh. As for helmets, The Stag with the ornament takes the came as my favorite looking piece of armor in D2.
