Any drummers here?

I've always been musically able. Sing, had a drum kit when I was little, but never really learned how to use it, played piano as a kid (by force), started playing acoustic guitar (got bored with chords), learned the bass and played it solely by ear for a few years before just not doing anything again until recently. But in being around instruments again, I find myself analyzing more and more of what is going on with each individual instrument. It got me to thinking. All the instruments are tuned to match a specific base note. Guitars and pianos obviously have to be to blend together. The bass has to be as well, but it in itself is really part of the percussion, but with notes. But one stands out to me that I know little about. The drums. Are the individual drums tuned to any specific note. Is that even possible? There are all manner of different circumferences and depths in the gear, all to make differing tones, but is is tuned to any specific note, key, or is is just to whatever pleases the drummer's ear? I mean you think about all the different drum heads in front and around drummers like Neil Peart. Every head has a different tone. Years ago Alex Van Halen toured with an acoustic hybrid kit that looked like a regular kit, but it was all digital sounds. But are they tuning them to better match the notes the other instruments are playing, or are they just what they are?
