Ikelos shotgun/ smg
I got the ikelos shotgun last week, and after about 37 clears, I got the smg.
Are ikelos weapons a bunch of hype?

1 ReplyEdited by Lord_Shar: 6/26/2018 11:26:35 PMYes, both SG and SMG are awesome. The SG requires you to punch the target to engage trench barrel -- this gives you a +50% damage boost. This has lead to several raid boss 1-phase kills as shown on youtube. The SMG also shreds in PVP. It is around 1.0 TTK using body or crit shots, so it is very forgiving. Threat Detector adds extra stability + reload speed + handling and warns of close proximity campers hiding from radar. The shield break damage bonus and ricochet rounds are just pure icing on the cake. Oh, both weapons also look absolutely sick when firing.

8 RepliesI don’t have them, but I know the perks and I’ve played with people who have them. sniper is a legendary Darci so not just hype. The shotgun has a damage buff after melee, but it’s only special when paired with something that reloads it, otherwise it’s just a buffed shotgun. Smg is a smg, so it’s good in PvP, plus threat detector. That makes it good already. The energy Sheild break is good for majors, but it will really be spectacular when snipers go to the kinetic slot. The sniper and shotgun are useless in PvP.

Shotgun is decent, about on a level with Perfect Paradox (PP may be slightly better) UNTIL you get a melee hit (not kill, you can just barely tap them so long as you do damage), which activates trench barrel and gives you a 50% damage buff that turns it into an absolute monster. So if you don't like getting up close and personal go for a slug shotgun or something, if you want to absolutely melt bosses melee them then get a lock buddy to drop an empowering rift and watch that health bar dive.

Smg is decent if you like to play around with weapons but the sniper and shotgun can be very over powered. The shotgun is extremely overpowered especially if you have a melting point titan or lunafaction boots empowering rift warlock

Well the shotgun is most downright broken weapon in the game. And I love it.

1 ReplyShotgun is legit... SMG, is very situational. Breaking shield then switching to kinetic, seems like a very specific situation.

4 RepliesAt least they're not the 100th reskin of a D1 weapon, and at least they don't have the same boring perks as all the other legendary weapons. I have both guns and love them.

2 RepliesI have the SG and it has to be the best SG (or weaopn) in the game, melts everything. Just got the SMG a few days a go, and it's good, but not as game changing as the SG.
