[b]This should be fun.[/b] Slingshot was still hootin' and hollering when a familiar voice came back on the channel. "Guardian? You still with me?" Jaymen answered her. "We copy. Who is this?" "Hey you're not the Guardians from before, unless one of you as a great falsetto." "This is Jaymen of Fireteam Rescue. If you're referring to Fireteam Slingshot, they're busy celebrating." "Good, I actually kind of like that team. Be a shame if they had died." "We're done on this end, where to next Guardian?" "We've found a Golden Age research facility buried inside a glacier. Where do you think? Meet me at the entrance to Clovis Bray." Rescue made their way up the hill, Slingshot still jumping up and down with joy in the distance. "Do you think the Vanguard knew that...?" Lacy began. "No, I don't think so." Cyphan said. "Who could've? We certainly didn't." Slingshot stopped when Rescue came up the hill. "Oh Goblin sprinkles! I forgot about you guys!" Ralph said deflated. "Why are you guys here anyway?" Toaster asked. "It wasn't obvious Toaster?" Shift replied. "They came to bring us back to the Vanguard crib." "Yes that may be true..." Jaymen said through clenched teeth. "But we wanted to thank you for..." She gestured to the carnage around them. "Am I dreaming or are you actually thanking us?" Ralph said. "Ralph..." "I'm just asking." "UP. THE. HILL." "Yes mum!" Jaymen discharged her shotgun in the air just above Ralph's head as he yelped and scrambled up the hill. "Not gonna lie, that was hilarious." Shift said, watching as Jaymen chased him. He turned around at the sound of a cocked hammer. Lacy was pointing her revolver right into his face angrily. Shift stared down the barrel for a bit before speaking. "I don't suppose you'd accept an apology-" Lacy shot him in the shoulder, and Toaster jumped back as Lacy used him as a punching bag. Lacy got back up as Lima overlooked Shift, who was groaning from the pain. "...You didn't have to kneecap him you know..." Lima said nervously. Lacy exhaled. "It was for therapeutic purposes. Worked quite well." And she cheerily skipped off. After a moment Toaster turned to Cyphan, and shyly waved. Cyphan looked at the ground as Toaster began shaking in fear. "Just...just come on." Cyphan said quickly. "Aww. Toaster." Shift moaned. "She likes you!" Toaster averted his eyes as Cyphan broke his arms next. "That really is relaxing." Cyphan said as she stomped off. Toaster stood, trembling. After a moment he crouched over Shift. "Are-Are you okay?" He asked, wringing his hands. "Bite me." Shift managed. Lima sighed and started to heal him. Toaster tiptoed over to where they had chased off Ralph to find Jaymen wrestling him, he was in a headlock that he wasn't even bothering to try and get out of. "Look darling, this has been fun really but-" Jaymen squeezed harder, forcing Ralph to rasp. "But don't you think it's been long enough?" Jaymen squeezed harder still and Ralph squeaked. "Um...Uncle?" Jaymen finally let go as Ralph took deep breaths as he slumped to the ground, flat on his back. Toaster stood off to the side trying to be as invisible as possible when Jaymen whipped her head around towards him. He jumped and fell on his rear, whimpering as she stopped advancing. Ralph empathized with him. "I heard his arms crack from here. They really got him good didn't they?" He said, and Toaster nodded. "You what?" Jaymen asked Lacy. "It was for therapeutic reasons!" She said. "I'm not angry I want a turn." She stomped off in Shifts direction. Later they heard Lima shouting frantically. "Stop! Stop! He's already dead!" Toaster was mortified as his knees began to give out. Cyphan turned. "Toaster!" She said trying catch him as he passed out. As he fell over Ralph sat up. "Now look what you did! He's probably going to get PTSD from this!" He said. Cyphan turned sheepishly as she let him rest against wall, holding her hands around her back, eyes to the ground. Lacy too looked uncomfortable as Lima shouted out as a loud crunch was heard. "I just revived him!" Lima shouted. "MY SPINE!" Shift screamed. "Hey, you made it!" A voice said, as a female Hunter in a white and blue outfit appeared, then she too looked over in Shift's direction. "What are you doing to them?" She asked furious. "Um...therapy...right Lacy?" Cyphan mumbled. Lacy looked at the ground guiltily, another crunch. "You didn't have to crush his skull!" Lima cried. "That- that was actually an accident." An embarrassed Jaymen said. Lima roared in frustration. "If I had a body I would beat your head so bad, it wouldn't fit in your helmet anymore!" "S-Sorry. I guess I took that a little to far" Jaymen said. "TOO FAR?!" Lima was growling again and muttering in rage. "YOU KILLED HIM SIX TIMES!" Shift an Jaymen were strolling into sight as Shift rubbed his helmet. "Ugh... Lima what day is it? Why do I taste pistachios?' He mumbled. Lima turned to Jaymen. "Great. Now you broke his brain. There, there Shift." She said bumping against him. "Ralph?" Shift asked pointing at Toaster. "Why is?" "He passed out after Jaymen broke your back. I almost did too." Ralph replied. "Oh and is she like the fourth member of Rescue? I don't remember there being four of them." Shift said addressing the newcomer. "I'm Ana, and no, I'm the Guardian that called for your help." Ana said. "Oh. yeah. Umm... what was your name again?" Shift asked. "Sweet Traveler's shadow.
