Destiny 2 Won't Launch on Xbox One After Update

Just installed the latest update. When I attempt to launch Destiny 2 it shows that it is verifying content and signing in. Shorty after, the game hangs on me. Sometimes I get a message stating that there was a problem reading the game content. Others, it just stops and crashes. I have reset my console multiple times. Hasn't fixed the issue. Any suggestions? Is anyone else having this issue? Edit: I guess I'm reinstalling the game. Unfortunately for me, I am in interim housing. I don't control my internet or anything for the time being. It took an hour to install the ~720 Mb update. Destiny 2 is a total of 45 GB......Honestly, by the time it is done downloading, I don't know if I will even want to play it anymore with how frustrated this makes me. I'll check back in a couple of days and let you know if reinstalling the game on Xbox One fixes the issue or not. Edit Edit: I am impatient AF. So, earlier I walked to my local store and picked up a physical copy of D2 (luckily it was only $20). I then installed that. 20 GB still needed to be downloaded (the updated content through various patches). That took most of the evening. Once that finally finished, I was able to launch and play D2 again. Caveat being that I probably have to play with this stupid piece of silicon in my disk tray until I have suitable internet available to me to be able to download again. Edit Edit Edit: Maybe I spoke too soon. After installing the game from the disc and being able to play for a little over 2 hours, for thralls and giggles I decided to see what would happen if I tried to launch the game without the disc in the disc tray. That was apparently a bad idea. It didn't work, which I expected. However, when I put the disc back into the tray and tried to launch..........it continued to not work. I can't even get to the title screen now. The screen goes black for a moment and then goes back to the dashboard. Edit Edit Edit Edit: So, just reinstalled the game from disc again. It appears to be starting. However, in my previous attempt at this, I was only able to play one session and the game stopped working again. So, assuming I get so lucky as to complete some milestones and stuff, I will report back on whether or not it continues to work after I am done with this game session. Edit Edit Edit Edit Edit: Last night I went through a very long session. I got all of the raids done for my Warlock. Quit the game and tried to launch again this morning. The game seems to launch. It does seem a little less than stable though. At the beginning of my session last night I got the anteater error. When trying to hop this morning Destiny 2 said that I had to be connected to Xbox Live to play, when I was already signed in. Took a couple of tries before I was actually able to get in. So, right now the tentative solution for me has been to basically reinstall the game.......twice. Hope this can help some of the others who have been struggling with the same issue. I know this is not exactly an answer most of you are hoping for.

 • Nothing I have Tried has Worked... Whenever I've tried to enter my digital copy of Destiny 2 since the update on 5/29/18, it shows me the Destiny 2 logo for around 5 seconds then boots me out. No error message or anything. I have restarted my Xbox One, Shut it Down, I did a factory reset (one that saves data), I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I have unplugged the Xbox and plugged it back on, I have various things on this forum, youtube, and the Microsoft website. If it's my internet, why do all my other online games work and why do I get no error code. I am still looking for things I haven't done. I need help!!!!
