xbox one x shutting down when playing D2
anyone experiencing issue of Xbox one X shutting off completely mid play in D2?

My xbox one x shuts off at gauntlet when teleporting into the track and when teleporting from void/throne that's the only 2 spots my xbox shuts off. these people keep blaming the console

I agree with the others here. A file error would result in a crash rather than a shutdown (unless it's freezing before it shuts down?). This sounds like a hardware issue. Give the system a little breathing room to test it out and if that fails check XBox support for hardware diagnostics.

There have been several confirmed reports where xb1x’s have been known to overheat & shutdown (part of the xbox preventive system). Most of these reports have said that Microsoft confirmed that some of the cooling mechanisms weren’t installed fully/properly. You may want to check with Microsoft to see if your xbox falls into the faulty batches.

2 RepliesYou probably want to make sure you're giving it plenty of air and the like. There's no code within Destiny 2 that is set to cause your console to shut down. This is either a hard crash because of software/hardware outside of the game, a power issue, or an overheating issue.
