Why do you think Asher Mir despises Zavala?
Its actually hilarious but in one of the missions on IO Asher Mir takes so many shots at Zavala? is it because he thinks Titans lack intelligence or something else?

Asher Mir actually made my mom cry. Her dad (my grandfather) had a genius IQ but had zero social skills. Inefficient communication he used to call it. Mir's mannerisms were something we had personally experienced but hadn't really heard since Poppa's passing. You ever been traveling in the fast lane of a highway only to pull up behind a driver going 55mph and they refuse to move over? That feeling you get is what brilliant people feel when interacting with us "normal" people.

Yes it is because Asher believes Zavala is a stereotypical dumb Titan that doesn’t think anything through To be fair, Asher assumes almost everyone else is dumber than him and even indirectly insults Warlocks along with Titans and Hunters. Ikora and Eris seem to be two of the only people he thinks of as intelligent

They protected the humans living out in the wilds. Of course when Zavala had an issue with Oryx, who did he run to for help? That’s right, the Sunbreakers *****not actually the reason, I just don’t like Zavala

3 RepliesFrom the dialogue I've heard from Asher, he seems to me like someone who views themselves as superior to everyone around them intellectually, but at the same time bitter and anti-social. He sees Titans as punch-happy lunkheads who would tackle a complex problem like, in the case of the D2 storyline, disabling the Almighty's weapon systems without destroying the sun to which it is linked, by simply headbutting it. It would also explain why he also takes a shot at Ikora during the Pyamidion strike, ("I heard that, you wretch!") but only because "he is on Io and [she] is not." After the quest on Io that appears after the main story-line, he begrudgingly admits that he's wrong, both about his intel and about you, the Guardian. This seems to prompt some growth as a person on his part. At least, that's my observation.
