To those guardians that donated for Houston

I thank you all I live close to Frisco and I have family that lives near Houston but their up here with us and I thank those guardians who donated wherever they did it you helped so many people down there. It seems even in the darkest of times light still finds a way to shine Edit: wow there's a lot of responses I guess even in this community with all the toxic it has there are good people among them

    • I assume that getting that pin & emblem is pretty far down your list of things to spend money on. Good thing for you I managed to pick up some extra. Send me a message. The pins obviously haven't come in yet but when they do, I got you.

      • I bought one as well, but they could have done this better. 1) Nobody gives two craps about the actual pin. They just want to donate and show their support. They charge a shipping charge to get the pin, and you don't get the emblem code until the pin shows up in your mailbox. Because of this, I think a lot of people that go to the bungie store with the intent of purchasing it don't end up doing so b/c they don't like the idea of paying for shipping on something that will immediately go into the trash. 2) I purchased it two days ago and it still hasn't shipped. Now, I'm typically not the type of dude to have a baby blue emblem with hearts on it, but I wanted to publicly display my support for my fellow guardians in here Houston when D2 launches, and now that's not going to happen. What they need to do is at least have the option of JUST selling the code. No wasting money on shipping and you get the emblem code immediately. Hell, charge me the "shipping fee" and donate that too. I don't care. The intent was good, but it wasn't very well thought out in this case.

          • Least I could do to help out fellow Houstonians. I live in Cypress Texas and I saw all the people that got flooded. I was lucky enough not to get flooded so I went and helped my neighbors that did. I can't wait to play D2 with y'all.

            • I usually don't donate money (I donate time) because I have trust issues; but I bought the heart pin for Houston and I hope my money is legitimately used to help those people.

                • I'm in Plano. I gave blood but I don't have the supplies nor the money to make a dent. So I left it to my cousins who went on boats and are still supporting the cause. They and others like them are heroes. If you're not sure how to give, volunteering, donating money to groups actively working, or giving blood will help. a simple Texan Guardian.

                        • Ur welcome. I was just reminded that one of my clan mates hometown is Houston. He lives in LA, but still has family and friends in the area. It made my need to donate stronger knowing someone that was personally affected by this.

                        • It's our duty as a community of human beings to help one another when things get tough. If everyone adopted this way of thinking our living space with one another would be more enjoyable. We all just need to get better at being generous before bad things happen too . I hope all your family is safe and that there home recovery is fast

                        • I actually donated $500. I love helping people, and organizations. But I'm getting really tired of people saying "they should help themselves." That's just unbelievable. I was in a hurricane back in the 00s, and they're horrible. If I ever get in a position in life where I can donate, $100,000 or $1,000,000, I definitely will. Hope the victims are holding up okay.
