I am just wondering. I find it quite extreme and I am wondering if Bungie is listening.
I hope they are and that they take the reception into consideration. They do not want the loyal player base of the most successful new IPs ever made on the loose.
I am sure we all will have to make compromises, but I really hope Bungie understand that they have severally misjudged their playerbase and changes need to be made.
I would really like if Bungie started talking more about progression systems and gameplay loops.
Cause while all this balancing talk is exciting it doesn't really affect the longevity of the game to the same degree that these systems will.
And while all of these complaints are worrying. I personally find what little we know of progression and loops is much more worrying.

10 RepliesYou state no "complaints" and outside of the "actual" complaints this beta has been pretty great. Praise: PvE was really fun. Weapon changes are pretty cool and work out rather well. Game play feels smoother in both PvE and PvP. PvP is fantastic, no ability or special weapon spamming bums. PvP is actually a blast and people have learned how to Control. The "actual" complaints: Abilities charge a little slow in PvE, but not terribly. Ammo drops are a little light and could get upped a bit. GG is a pea shooter-it will probably need a PvE buff to be beneficial. Grenades are weaker in PvE. The imaginary complaints:🙄 I don't have my super enough in PvE. I don't have enough grenades in PvE. I can't use these guns in PvE. The weapon loadout is too hard to use in PvE. I don't have my super 10 times in a PvP match. I don't have 50 grenades to throw in a PvP match. It's not "fun".

4 RepliesDon't bother literally the forums is 90% fanboys who defend the game with their life

2 RepliesEdited by CIKiller: 7/21/2017 4:41:04 PMYes, this is only a BETA, and people are already tearing into it and ripping it apart bit by bit with as much hatred and anger as they can muster, as if it's a full game. The salt surrounding the full release will only be worse, no matter how good Bungie makes it.

I'm pretty sure that "honor" goes to Duke Nukem Forever.
-
The Jaws sequels were poorly recieved and deservedly so. D2 looks good though.

People will slate this beta and slate bungie. Then, in September, those same people will pay full price for the game. Shortly after they will be on here again, moaning. A fool and his money are easily parted.

1 ReplyEdited by Smith5084: 7/22/2017 2:38:53 AMDefinitely not. I agree that the game is deeply flawed, but it does work as intended. There have been betas that were catastrophic failures. From a PR standpoint, I do think that this beta has definitely hurt, and I think that the reviews that have been posted will cause people who play Destiny purely for the PVE experience to pump the breaks, but people that play the game for the PVP side of the game should be excited. The problem is, while the PVP side is what keeps the game going in the long term, the PVE aspect is what ultimately drives preorders and early sales. In that regard, Bungie should probably be concerned. The reviews haven't been that great in that regard, and PVE is definitely taking a pretty substantial hit to make PVP better and more balanced.

Idk Garfield 2 was pretty sketchy

1 ReplyI think that the bata is a disaster waiting to happen that bungie did not listen to the community but instead listen to a select group of idiots and that the rest of us was left out in the cold specially those who do pve

This is a beta, and as such should not be considered a true representation of the final product. Once the game actually releases, then the question posed by your topic will be relevant.
-
People forget about attack of the clones, don't they?
-
Poll here is stupid but your actual post is spot on You are right. Everyone is distracted by balance and going to miss the fact the gameplay and endgame is trash

Penis poll *gigiddy gigiddy*

Sequel? Common, it's not even out yet, and the beta is a gamebuild that was likely packaged in March-may.

By it's loyal fans, yes. Everyone who didn't decide 6 months ago when we found out about these changes, that they'd be bitching today about, all those normal people.. they all love the beta.
-
I don't now where you people get all this 'extreme hate for D2.' I haven't seen any of that.
-
12 RepliesBungie as a whole seems egotistical enough to put out a beta asking for feedback knowing full well nothing will change for the release.
-
5 Replies99% of this forum is butthurt kids crying and nitpicking about everything they run into. "My grenade hit a wall, because I threw it when I was looking at a wall, but I wanted it to attack the enemy. This game is shit Bungo!" Play the game for yourself, and don't listen to the people here. If you enjoy the game, play it. -blam!- everyone else.

Human centipede 2 was bad!

1 ReplyDebbie does dallas 2 what a let down.

They might hear what people are complaining about, but I doubt they're listening. They listen to the data.
-
Its not a sequel. Its a beta of an old build for the game.

10 RepliesEdited by GrundleBeans: 7/21/2017 12:16:07 AMReally? I've seen plenty of way worse to be calling this "extreme". This is absolutely tame. I see some unhappiness with a few things here and there, but very little if anyone outright hating and bashing the whole thing. I see a lot of positive feedback as well. Just a few off the top of my head that tanked populations within 1-3 months and/or had some of the harshest player reviews: No Man's Sky Mass Effect Andromeda The Division CoD Infinite Warfare Battlefront SimCity Aliens: Colonial Marines Destiny 2 criticism right now doesn't even come close to the criticism of No Man's Sky.

no Diablo 3 and it's RMAH was the worse reception of any sequel
