Because the solely single player aspect appeals only to a small number of players. The pvp and raid appeal to a much broader player base.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that's true. Maybe, 50/50. These forums are full of people who would like more solo options. I've also played with a lot of people who have voiced such desires in parties. Where does everyone get these numbers? Other than a wild guess.

No problem. You brought up valid points and I could see why people wanf more challenging solo endgame stuff to do. But for me that's not why I play destiny. The main reason i play is because it's a fun game to play with friends.
