What does that mean? (Destiny Terminology)
Well, since i am a new, year 2 player to destiny since TTK released, ive gotten to meet a great group of friends. But with the terminology that they use, the following, i truely feel left out. So i have left it up to the Community to Enlighten me on these terms. (Only if u want to) all help is appreciated, and thx again community.
MAIN TERM: PVP AND PVE??
Ik that PVP is "player vs. Player", obviously. But what is PVE? I cant seem to figure it out. "Player vs......."
CHEESE: Its A food! Yea, so how is it associated with destiny? Lmao ive heard this term quite a lot.
R.N.G.: Im not even close to sure what that means, maybe "Random ____ Grind?" Its associated with the play style of the game overall I think.
NERF: i have an idea about this one. But i could be wrong. Term used for Overpowering wapons to be "UnderPowered"?
WIPE: I've heard this one enough to know, ESPECIALLY during raids.
LFG: I've heard this around the forums. Usually players who habe concerns about Matchmaking, am I somewhat right?
Well thats all the terms. Hopefully i can walk away from this as a well educated Gaurdian hehe.
EDIT: My questions have been answered and thank you to those who have helped. Maybe some other terms that i might not be aware of but are still commonly used in Destiny today?
EDIT 2: its been another day and my questions have been answered for quite a while now. But despite that, Kind people take the time to enlighten a new player such as I. I really appreciate it People. Thx community but im Aware now.

When you get a shitty drop in crucible, but everyone else gets something good, they didn't earn it. The roll of the dice gave it to them. Nerf: like a nerf gun, they don't actually hurt. It means a weapon in the game is basically useless and would be just as good as a nerf gun. Or it can mean to MAKE a gun crappier because it is too over powered. LFG: Looking for Gamers/Guardians. Cheese: I'm not too sure of the origin, but it means to cheat basically. My guess is that it is a combination of Cheat and Easy, which is basically what it is. Cheating to make the game easy.

PvE: Player versus Environment Cheese: Cheat and make easy/ do with ease Nerf: make less effective (I'm actually not sure where it comes from maybe nerf guns idk) Wipe: reset the scenario/ wipe the memory LFG: looking for group

2 RepliesPVE - Player Vs Empire (alt: Enemy) Cheese - A term for glitching/cheating an in-game mechanic....may flavors (no seriously) - ranges from mild to outright game breaking. R.N.G. - Random Number Genreator - I call it Rolling a 20 sided Dice...in most cases several of them. - Its commonly referred to the random drops you get from various tasks in Destiny. Nerf - Do you know what a Nerf Gun is? Apply that to any of the statements you've seen (This needs to be Nerf'd!) - you should be able to figure it out. Wipe: Everyone dies in-game. (With some variants) LFG - Looking for Group (Also a good comic strip) - Its a term used for people looking to form fireteams for raids/tasks etc. Also a common site outside bungie (I refuse to use it as Recruit boards are better here).

"Nerf" - To totally destroy a perfectly good weapon because some fag-arsed squeeker has been killed by it in the crucible a few times, and has whined like a little bitch on the forum's. Thus destroying the weapon for PVP and PVE alike (Even though PVE had nothing to do with it)

1 ReplyCheese sounds like "cheat". But the word "cheat" can be ban from servers or forums, and "cheese" is its substitute. PvE for Player vs Enemy, Environnement, Empire etc... basically when you play vs mobs. In Destiny, it means patrols, strikes, raids etc... LFG : Looking for Group.
