Edited by Musashi Orboro3: 11/13/2015 11:02:50 PMIt's not pay to win. You can circumvent some of the grind by paying for stuff, but it doesn't gain you any advantage over other players. Also, the game never throws up any paywalls like Destiny does.

I think there needs to be a term for this kind of game. Like,"Pay to not waste your time."
-
There used to be a term for the "wasting your time" concept. We called it "playing the game." With most games today you can certainly "pay to not waste your time" as an alternative to actually playing the game. It's an option that I guess some people like.

Yep. Because grinding out 500 oxium from an enemy who only sometimea spawns and when they do spawn they only drop 2-3 is not a waste of my time. Theyve made it better since, but i wont forget. But their store system is honestly really terrible. The only reason to buy is if your impatient.

Ok. I don't know how it worked when you played, but oxium is a semi rare resource that drops from a specific enemy that spawns quite often in a variety of missions, and it generally comes in quantities of 8-14. But as I said, if you're impatient, you can certainly circumvent the need to actually play the game.

Meh, models pretty dumb. The best microtransactions are the ones people enjoy buying, as both parties get something out of it. I cant really see that in warframe, mostly because of the fact that you can obtain anything through play. Buying a gun or frame just isnt fun or satisfying. Its just boring. At least thats how i view it. Ive bought stuff in both games. I like destinys more. I have more fun buying stuff.

There are likely many people who would disagree with you. When I started I resolved never to use platinum for cosmetic items. To date I've spent quite a lot of platinum on just that, though I feel like every one was well worth it.

Cause cosmetic items are fun. Its why destiny has pretty good microtransactions. But they are a small part of the store.
