Xbox 1 vs PS4
I'm debating between these consoles I am picking one up soon and was originally going for a PS4 but with the release of halo 5 I'm not so sure anymore anyone have any thoughts on this?

thanks for all the replies after reading through the responses I'm going with a ps4 I've played on playstation and a lot of the guys i play with have decided to upgrade to ps4

I'd say go to where more of your friends play. Also take into account the console exclusives, or go with whatever system you had before or can get the best deal on. I got an xb1 because 1. I already have gold and that carries over 2. I got mine for $250 with a kinect and BF4

Bloodborne is only on PS4. That was the determining factor for me.

Good decision on PlayStation unless you wanted Halo or Gears. I for one prefer the games that will be coming out on PlayStation 4.

If you like call of duty advanced warfare, you will hate halo 5 because it takes actual skill, which you lack.

They're all these games where you don't actually do much action besides walk around and make decisions that'll affect the game later on, and they all have these crazy stories to them. They're cool games don't get me wrong but the way you play them seems to be repetitive

If you like halo, get an Xbox. If you like from softwares games, get a ps4

It just depends on your game preference. I got an Xbox One because that was the console me and my friends played on. Also it was redoing the killer instant franchise and I am a HUGE fan of it and absolutely love it (even though I'm not the best player). There was a few months I thought I made the wrong decision on the console though because so many things were going to PS4( like street fighter and Until Dawn) but once backwards compatibility was revel I was so excited. I'm saving money for a PS4 though and hoping to get one on Black Friday though.

It's preference an exclusives for me,I encountered the same problem much like Sheldon from tbbt I went with Xbox one still don't regret it considering it has blu Ray now also

3 RepliesGo with where your friends are. If you have no friends, get an Xbox. There is a lot to be said for innovation. Ps4 may have better sales but every time they do something new, it's a knock off of another company's tech. Xbox worked with Bethesda to start getting mods on console. The Kinect is a convenience thing more than anything else, but it IS impressive. Xbox is bringing competitive controllers to the more casual community. Xbox popularized online console gaming. MLG had its rise on Xbox. Xbox pushes original IPs more than Playstation does (at the development stage.) ps4 has good exclusives but it's ones they've bought out. Playstation has a rumored VR in the works, but the more successful ones like the Oculus are already working with Microsoft. The Ps4 is really great, but it is really great because the PS3 really wasn't. With these consoles there is always going to be a back and forth between generations. The thing is, Microsoft is working on MORE.
