Idk, I've only seen a few clips of it and the rebuilds of Evangelion were pretty awesome. Sure they changed alot and took out several fights including asukas fight at sea (DAMMIT!!!!!!) but its still pretty badass. I'm slowly introducing my son into anime with robots to build him up to the big boy series. Right now we're about 1/3 through medabots.

Wait wait wait....this wasn't a neon genesis evangelion post lol was it called nerve gear? I thought it was just a capsule with some sort of fluid in it that filled their lungs
