Ghorn IB and BH nerf sucks, but all others are well overdue [spoiler]coughthorncough[/spoiler]

It appears to have been Bungies plan all along, all year one weapons will be weaker and obsolete, once “The Taken King” DLC drops. The DLC will of course introduce a whole new set of year two weapons having higher attack values. Players will likely not be allowed to ascend any, legendary or exotic, year one weapons to the new, year two attack level. IMO, this is why Bungie has been virtually silent on this matter. They have seen the backlash in the forums where many players are not happy with the idea. Players have vowed that they would be done with Destiny, especially if they quite literally have to start all over again. Well welcome to phase one of this being done. They are calling it “Weapon tuning 2.0”. The primary reason for this update is to make all of your favorite year one weapons, not so great anymore. So by nerfing all of your great year one weapons, Bungie is hoping it will be easier to separate you from these favorites, once TTK drops. Of course there are other valid reasons for the update as well. However, I believe the primary under lying goal is to ease players into the changes that TTK will bring without turning them off to the idea of buying it. So this seemed to explain why the Weapon tuning 2.0 update is going to nerf weapons that no one complained about and were perfectly fine as they were. All of this simply because it is now Bungies goal to make all year one weapons less desirable so that TTK DLC won’t seem like such a bad deal. Destiny lacks content, so they want to reset progress and make players grind out everything all over again, with a tad more content at a hefty price. Many are ok with that and say it is expected from games like this. Others are not ok with it. Either way, Bungie should just fully disclose what their plans are and reveal in detail, exactly what new content players will be getting for their $40.

The whiners are certainly annoying, but the blame - ALL of the blame - for f u c k i n g up this beautiful game is [i]Bungie's.[/i]

I'm happy with it because I won't be playing. I would cut of my nuts before I bought TTK, and that will definitely never happen.

I'm pretty happy with it. I don't even care that my Gjallarhorn will be weaker. Gjallarhorn will still be the best, auto rifles are back, and the Thorn users are free to use their favorite gun without being hated.

It's not the people that don't have it, it was the people that were ghorn snobs that did it. You want to blame the people that don't have one. I don't, and I don't care I had fun with my max hunger. So if you're gonna blame anyone read the notes it says not having a specific weapon shouldn't keep you from joining a group.... Blame the ghorn snobs!!!

Most of it im okay with, but to be 100% honest, I don't think they should have nerfed the Wolfpack rounds.. The gjallarhorn is only wanted because it does pack a punch, and the heaviest punch. Now (depending on the nerf) people won't care about it, and will use hunger of crota or something else, as now the gjallarhorn may not be worth the exotic slot. Although I do agree that people should not base their fire teams off of people being lvl 34 and gjallarhorn. I have one, and I am always open to anyone joining, as long as they can do the raid and are on level par with it, or one under.

Don't nerf Gjallahorn. Much better solution would have been to buff Truth and DB so that they were on a par. Dragon's Breath: add tracking. The real issue is that it is dumb fire. If it tracked it would be usable. 2nd, make the flare a sticky so that it attaches to the target and does damage over time. This would give DB an effect like the wolfpack rounds that do damage over time. Truth: already tracks, so it only needs a damage over time feature. Add a void vortex that sticks to the target and you're done. Now it has damage over time I hate how Bungie thinks the solution is to nerf things. If one weapon in a given category outshines the others, then buff the others to be on a par with the one. Nerf the single best heavy in the game? Really??? One other thing ... I don't really agree with the hand cannon nerfs either, but that is only a minor annoyance for me since I am a PvE player. I suck at PvP. Thorn did not suddenly make me some kind of God in the crucible, nor did TLW. I still suck even though I use both.
